This week's fun poll was suggested by Lost Rabbit. The list of classes isn't exhaustive, but it should cover most of the bases except for the specialized stuff like dragon knight or death knight...

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Has your taste in manga changed since you first started reading it?
Choices:
It totally turned a 180 - votes: 467 (5.9%)
Got more broad, so I like a wider variety of series - votes: 4453 (56.7%)
Got narrower, so my preferred series are very specific - votes: 1837 (23.4%)
Stayed pretty much the same - votes: 1103 (14%)
There were 7860 total votes.
The poll ended: May 28th 2016

Oh wow, most people opened up their horizons

I voted for ranger, because in my opinion they are the most versatile class

I don´ t care about "real" D&D but hot damn do i love video games. Follow my adventures in out gaming thread. I am finishing up Uncharted 4 and will clean up Mars afterwards.

Mr.chopsil had to bring up Dark Knight, my favorite FF class. I went with Barbarian from what i had, as that´s my Diablo class. They usually dual wield but the first 4 are all good.
My Souls characters all carried the heaviest sword in the right and the heavies 100% shield in the left, with the heaviest armor to round it off. I still achieved an equipment load below 70 % in DS3, due to rings, so i could enjoy the miracle of a proper dodge roll.
I like to select machine gun based classes in games with a Sci-Fi or modern setting and games with a heavy focus on a moldable narrative all get the maximum amount of points into speech. I always try to talk it out, yet slaughter the fools if shit goes south.

If question is put this way then summoner. No resurrection... I definitely don't want to be on the front line....

Even though in D&D i'm playing monk right now(it is simpler), but later on i will create someone who can summon for sure...

No resurrection? eek
I'd definitely have to pick a class that has some healing abilities, then... in order to avoid dying at all.

I was gonna go with Cleric at first, but... I wouldn't wanna be that lame. roll eyes
It'd probably also be helpful to have some amount of attack power as well (since an RPG world would likely have enemies that would want to fight me), so I chose Paladin (probably has healing abilities, as well as wearing badass armor and having a decent amount of attack power in order to fight back). smile wink grin

Why are Warlock and Witch separate (there's Wizard too)? You get genderbent if you choose the other or what? bigrazz

It would depend on other factors too. If healing is easy with items, the gods influence, the versatility of the skills...

Well I know I'd like a class that can use magic and that they can buff their physical skills and use haste. It's not cool having to be careful with everything you touch in your resting times because you are too strong.

I went with illusionist since that is what I always build in Elder Scrolls.

I don't like straight fighter types because they tend to bore me, not enough for me to get creative with. The exception are Rangers because many games give them a little bit of nature/druid spells.

I like mages because you can get creative and mix spells together, but in most games they are too fragile, kind of like glass canons. A Necromancer might work, because you could summon undead to fight for you (keeping yourself in the back) and maybe turn yourself into a lich therefore getting limited immortality. But the undead smell would probably put off the babes and the whole world would be out to get you.

I also like Clerics, but it depends on the game. Some just have them purely as healing, light and protection types which also can get boring. There are some games that allow you to mix and match abilities, so your cleric can be a little more versatile and I prefer those.

If I didn't know what type of RPG world I was going to end up on and the rules of it, I'd probably go with Paladin. Good fighting abilities, some spellcasting and a position of respect in society. My second choice would be Cleric as long as I got a cool god and wasn't just limited to the medic role, but got a few nifty abilities.

If we are talking D&D - Artificer, make some golems to fight for me and stay out of harm's way myself. If we are talking WOW - Druid, as various shapeshifting powers can allow to heal myself or run away if things turn bad.

I've chosen Cleric/Priest, but I don't mind exacty the class while I can heal teammates and make sorcery. Of what I'm sure is that, although I'm male, the character would be female for sure.

I saw this and thought, "Huh, this new poll's got a lot of choices going on..."
Then it takes me some time to realize I suggested this some time back. XD

This is the second time a topic I suggested got picked, so this is exciting. Can't wait to see the results eventually! :3

Warlock, of course.

by the way, what is the different between elemental mage and warlock. Both are offensive spellcasters.
