It was a one shot or very short, and iirc, a single father buys the last tuna for his son to eat.
It was weird, and I think there might have been a story about humanoid cattle in the same volume.

I'm mostly trying to figure out if my memory is making things up again/conflating dreams with reality.
I remember it was actually a pretty decent storytelling/art, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

(side note, if the "humanoid cows" wasn't in the same volume, if this thing exists at all, I'm also kind of curious to find that now that I've brought up the tuna story.)

Edit: nope, the humanoid cow story was part of Kanojotachi no X-Day.

I believe you're looking for the "It Was All for the Tuna" chapter of Hotel.

As for the humanoid cattle story, that might be the title story from Minotaurus's Plate (the rest of that collection isn't translated, so far as I know). Edit - or not.

I edited the OP a little too late, but I found the cow story separately while looking for my tuna story.
