I'm on a quest for a yaoi or shonen-ai that doesn't fall into the normal genre tropes. So I'd like to find something that meets some of the following:

+ more comedy than drama
+ no falling in love with straight men or angst over sexuality (considering the amount of "straight" men in yaoi and shounen-ai I'm probably better off saying men who identity as straight in the beginning are fine as long as its approached with humour?)
+ no sexual assault (why is this so prevalent?! I want to avoid the entire trope of one guy forcing himself on the other while the other objects)
+ I'd like to avoid the feminine uke, masculine seme pairing (I don't necessarily need "manly" men, but I'd like to avoid obviously large differences in appearance/size)
+ I'd also like to avoid the entire trope that somehow what position you like in bed somehow affects your personality but I may be asking too much of manga

Thanks in advance!

I can recommend a few authors, but their works only fit some of your specifications, not all. I can generally guarantee the 'no rape between the couple' and 'no obviously girly uke' criteria, but whether the others apply or not depends on the particular series. If that's okay with you:

Ono Natsume
Tojitsuki Hajime
Yamashita Tomoko
Nishida Higashi (In the case of this mangaka, I think it's worth mentioning that 'no rape between the main couple =/= no rape at all. There's actually plenty of implicit or explicit sexual assault in her stories, often involving one of the MC's as either victim or perpetrator)
Ichikawa Kei
Ishihara Satoru
Akiba Touko
Est Em
Ima Ichiko
Hidaka Shoko -- With the exception of Yuuutsu na Asa, which has the young master behaving in typical young master fashion and forcing himself on the butler.

Individual titles (these fit all or almost all of your criteria) :
Sayonara, Heron
Umibe no Etranger and its sequel.
Hanakisou
Dogla+Magla
Sairuiu
Kimi ni Ageru
The title story from NightS.
Umi no Mieru Yane
Canis
Kuchizuke wa Uso no Aji, maybe. I haven't read far enough to be certain.
Ametora
Hidamari ga Kikoeru
Jinjuu Houretsuden
Midnight Sun
Yasashii Ryuu no Koroshikata
