Hi, this time i'm looking for some good straightforward romance Manga
I prefer the type where the couple is new to romance or is a bit awkward with the opposite sex
and i REALLY hate Netorare and Love Triangles, so if possible keep them to a minimum (triangles are okay if it only lasts 1 or 2 chapters and the main couple stays on coarse)
some examples of the type i'm looking for would be:
Tonari no Kashiwagi-san
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou
Nozo x Kimi - before sugesting Nozoki, i didnt like it as it has alot of the categories i don't like
Kanojo no Kagi o Akeru Houhou
Oku-sama ga Seito Kaichou!
as you can see a lot of these are Borderline-H but the recommendations don't have to be
basically what i am asking for is, manga from the males perspective, romance focused on 1 guy and girl, little to no others trying to get either of the main pair, preferably high school setting (university is ok too, but not below high school)
edit: also prefer a mid-long series (not tapeworm level like hajime but around 100-200 chapters preferable)
edit: Novel and anime recommendations are ok too (link anime to myanimelist plz)
edit2: ignore my manga lists here as i'm still in the middle of trying to re-organize them, the only 1's that are currently ok are my Faves , Reading-CS and complete lists
so i guess what i'm looking for is:
A decent MC - the male MC Oku-sama is the type i like best, honest but not a wimp/pervert
Some Comedy - not so much it becomes a gag, but not so little it becomes too serious
Romance - (NO Netorare or love triangles)
High School - University os ok, but primary/middle school is not
Tranlating - does not need to be fully translated, as long as its actively being done
I DON'T want:
Preverted MC - they are the worst mc's ever thought of...
Gag
Oneshots - absolutely hate oneshots, especially the ones that leave you wanting more
Dark / Depressing
Psychological / Mind F_ck
Yaoi / Yuri
Josei - i really don't like tho Josei art style
Shounen Ai / Shoujo Ai
Rape
Smut
Gender Bender - this is ok ONLY if not a major part of the story, or only apears in 1 or 2 chapters out of 100
Gore - this is ok if its not too overly descriptive. e.g. "I cut open his gut and blood sprayed" is ok, but "I cut open his gut and his intestines and other vital organs fell out and splattered the ground" is not

Alright, I'm basically an expert of non cheesy romance manga so I'm gonna give you some of my favs
(FYI: the romance I read are VERY intense, not that cheesy shouju crap);
Long ones:
Mars- 16 volumes, a lot happens, too much to explain
The bride of the water God- manhua and a lot of chapters
The one-101chapters
Akstuki no yona- reverse harem and all time fav, ongoing, everyone knows this one
Kiki wa petto- kinda weird but once you get into it, your life will never be the same again
Reimei no arcana- long historical love thing
Medium length:
Obereru knife- very deep, bout these 12 year olds but still deep as hell
Flowers of evil- manhua, TWINCEST, tragic too
Savage garden- girl is forced to be boy and go to rich kid accede my with sexually promiscuous boys. Kind of boy love BUT SHES A GIRL PRETENDING TO BE A BOY SO NOT!!, reverse harem
The sleepy residents of birdcage- weird artist paints girl nude blah blah
Hana no Eden- incest(again), but it's oddly cute, hope u don't have a brother cuz it will be weird.
Some cheesy ones cuz I have to
Hanatsukihime- may be spelled wrong, btw BEAUTIFUL ART
Hiyokoi- really short but cute as hell girl and tall ass boy
Namibia usagi- seifuku no kataomoi; this title too long but anyways, girl sits next to weird boy in middle school, she gets period(u know how that is) and he saves her blah blah, he turns out to be cute blah blah
I have more but I need to think
And I did not read all of your forum btw, sorry, 0 attention span

@Greenstars777 - thanks, and i realized you didn't read through my post fully since a majority of those manga have a few of my don't wants on there (Dark / Depressing, Psychological / Mind F_ck, Rape, Smut) so i'm guessing our taste in these type of manga is pretty opposite lol
but anyways out of them i have started reading hiyokoi and Namida Usagi although it looks like they've been dropped by their scanlators, and Kimi wa Petto is 1 of the first manga i ever read (probably the only reason i could stand the art lol)

Lol sorry! I'm really into the dark stuff (don't know where my parents went wrong!!) but I'm glad you like those two! I know a few more like those but there kind of the classic and amateur stuff:
Examples:
Kaichou wa maid sama
Kamisama kiss
Ao Haru ride
Lovely complex
L-dk
Exc.
Lol, I guess my taste is just weird. But if you want some historical romance, tragedy, or incest hit me up!!

Hajiotsu comes really really close to what you're looking for, but the main point of view is that of the girl. However, the male lead also gets a lot of times in which he's our point of view.
Kyou no Yuiko-san is basically what you're looking for, I can't see any cons to your request.
Bocchi na Bokura no Renai Jijou should fit as well.
Itoshi no Karin is another one.
Senaka Gurashi should be fine too.
Those are all love triangle-free. That's all I can think of for now.
Edit: maybe the only con is that they are not that long, but when you take away drama in a romance focused story, they're bound to be short

@Greenstars777 - thanks i'll have a look at them
@train93 - thanks, i'll have a look at them too, and you're right, they are pretty short and i understand what you mean with the love triangle free makes them loose a lot of drama, thus chapters, but at the same time you can also get long ones where there is nearly no triangles (e.g B Gata H Kei although thats a 4-coma which sucks) and still have quite a few chapters
so basically if the triangle drama can be replaced with other sorts of things (e.g. comedy, new friendships etc. like kimi ni todoke) then that would be ideal, or if there isn't to much like that, i can live with a triangle, as long as its pretty obvious the main pair will stick together

did you ever try Nijiiro Days (MIZUNO Minami)?
I couldn't fin it but your lists are kinda hard to navigate
on your maybe list I would recommend Taiyou no Ie. It's a bit melancholic at times.
you could take a look at Natsuzora and Run some drama due to teacher student thing...
there is no way you didn't read Last Game yet, right?
I know you said no depressing or psychological stuff, but give Tetsugaku Letra a chance sometime.
sorry I am not up-to-date with releases over the last year so I don't have much...

I'll try to come up with some more but it sounds like our tastes are pretty similar within that genre.
Where Tangents Meet - webtoon, not overly long (35 chapters total), but really good. School setting, multi-dimensional characters, realistic progression, barely any drama of substance. Well worth your time. You won't find it listed on this site but it's not hard to find.
Another vote for Itoshi no Karin - it's short but sweet and often overlooked in the romance category.
I've read so many romance titles that it's hard to find many that are unique, so I always keep an eye on threads like this.\
EDIT: Horimiya is also terrific.

This is all I came up with beause other people have recommended a good set already.
They, Too, Love It's like my go to recommendation since it fits everyone's preferences pretty well most of the time
Hibi Chouchou I've only read 35 chapters and from what I've read, side characters try to make a triangle but it's so strong that no one can wedge in between this couple
Edit:
I know you said no josei but this one is pretty golden....give it a try?
Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei.
Back to Highteen This is a webtoon but for me, there isn't an actual ship yet. There are hints of a possible love triangle but nothing official because the girl doesn't seem to have strong feelers for the two potential companions. I like it so maybe you will. It's officially translated so ongoing regular releases until it's done.
Just read this: Hiren Trip It's so darn cute and sweet. and now I've just read all of Anashin's available mangas scanlated except Haru Matsu Bokura (the longest). She's a great mangaka with the stuff you're looking for. Shoujo may be predictable but it's the little mechanisms that make the most of it. Anashin does that without the pain of a triangle.

@Lorska - thanks, and i know my lists are kinda messed up lol, thats why i only linked the 3 that aren't in my OP , and no i haven't read Nijiiro Days (MIZUNO Minami) yet, and i was reading Last Game on my tablet but it kinda exploded so i lost where i was at so i'll be re-reading it , as for the others i'll give them a look
@7godeohs - thanks, but i can't find Where Tangents Meet, could you give me a link to its description? as for Horimiya it's the same as Last Game and was on my tablet and not up to date on chapters here, so its another i'll be re-reading
@mysstris - thanks, i'll check them out but i'm already reding Hibi Chouchou and all i can really call it is Fluffy lol, also the art for "Back to Highteen" scares me a little lol, as for Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei is it anything like Gokusen? cause thats pretty much the only josei i've read and not disliked

xD if Gokusen is your gauge for josei, oh boy how you've missed out. Then again there are various types of josei, most of which situate around college and adult women; but smut is overrepresented in that genre....anyway, Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei is nothing at all like Gokusen. It's a bit slice of life and set in college. It's nice and sweet though.
Here is one more josei I think you might like and will help redefine josei for you. Bread & Butter It kind of reads like the title in terms of atmosphere (comfort); about two adults who find themselves in a relationship and learn to grow to love each other. =)
Kimi wa KirakiraThis one is another one by the same mangaka as Shuukatsu. It's also set in college. I haven't read it in a long time but generally this mangaka writes good stories.
Back to Highteen, lol don't be afraid. It's quite interesting. No horror or gore. Just a normal modern day mangas about a girl who gets a chance of a lifetime.
Here's one more I want to recommend:
Kono oto Tomare! Here is also a manga that I'm currently really in love with. It's shoujo style with a shounen type of story (and officially shounen genre). It's really sweet and there is budding romance but as a shounen story, you'll understand there's more at stake than romance =) It's refreshingly about high school youth and has a sports competition feel to it despite being about music =)
ALSO you can find Where Tangents Meet on Line Webtoon. I started but never finished that one.

^This person speaks the truth.
I didn't think to recommend Kono Oto Tomare! because the amount of romance is a bit light, but it's definitely there, and it's a terrific story. It's one of the few mangas that I will usually stop whatever I am doing to read a new chapter.
