Warning: if you don't want to know what happens in volume 8, then do NOT read this spoiler...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Hooye who was with Nakbin before even Habaek came onto the scene and proclaimed Nakbin to be his bride oh-so-long-ago has said that the Nakbin that is with Habaek at the Emperor's palace now is not the real Nakbin.

I'm rooting for Soah, of course.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
As for the reasons why I DON'T think it's Nakbin, it's because since the very beginning, Mui was trying to force the issue of marrying Nakbin. If it was really their fate, they would have married regardless. But they were brought together by the machinations of the Emperor and such.

Plus, the biggest reason why Nakbin never died in the first place is because she's half a god. She IS the Emperor's daughter. No way he'd let her just up and die like that. Not when he's still trying to maneuver Habaek into becoming one of his "possessions" and such.

Plus doesn't it seem like destiny and fate keeps bringing Soah and Habaek together? Soah getting chosen to become the Water God's bride. Soah being sent back home and yet she still REMEMBERS Mui's name. How both of them actually fell in love with each other, despite other people trying to manipulate them otherwise. They are SO meant to be. And if they aren't, they should be!

It's Soah. Reasons below, for those who haven't read the latest scanlated volume:

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Remember the old guy who appeared in Chapter 33 and 34, the one who said that "The girl you are thinking of is not the one meant for you."? He was lying, as was explained in Chapter 59 while Suh Wang Mo (Habaek's mother) and the old guy were talking. Suh Wang Mo requested that the old guy lie to Habaek, to say that he wasn't fated to be with Soah. This was to avoid the suffering and pain that she knew Habaek was going to experience if he didn't avoid fate.

But as we saw in Chapter 34, Habaek said "If it's not her (Soah), I don't want to know. I will break destiny." This showed that even if Soah wasn't the one meant for him, he was willing to fight fate. But as we all know, the old guy lied, that's why the old guy said to Suh Wang Mo in Chapter 59 "That child chose his own fate of his own volition." So Soah really is his fated person. :D

Hope it wasn't too long. XD

It's definitely Soah. All of my reasons are the same as the ones everybody listed before.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Especially in the latest chapter (60) when Hooye says that Yeowha isn't actually Nakbin and the old future-seeing dude revealing that he lied when he said that the person that Habaek was thinking of wasn't his destined person (in which I was assuming Habaek was thinking of Soah).

Anyways, the way I wrote it may be a little strange sounding, but basically I'm rooting for Soah all the way biggrin

I'm pretty sure it's going to be Soah at the end.

We all know that Mui's pretty bent on Nakbim. He even goes as far as to pick up Soah back from the Human World because he believed that Soah was Nakbim's reincarnation. But it wasn't a strong belief, it was a wavering thought. And as the story progresses when the story solely focuses on Mui and Soah from time to time, as Mui starts to stop mentioning Nakbim's name, we start to forget that she was part of the story.

And while at the banquet, the emperor had invited gods and goddesses over. Even after the real Nakbim reveals to Mui that she's still rather alive, you can see he's very surprised to see her. But that feeling's nothing more than lingering feelings he possess. You can see that Soah has played a big part in his romantic life; look at how he hesitates when he must go to the moon and bring her back and staying with his past love. The only thing holding him back currently is that he doesn't want to betray his feelings he used to have for Nakbim...

There was a moment where Mui was looking up to the moon, Nakbim had threatened him that if he leaves to find her, Nakbim won't tell him how to get back to his original form. But when Mui tells her not to worry and claims he won't go anywhere, Nakbim was saddened because he did not say he'll stay because of her. Which I think is necessarily true, you can see that Mui is getting over Nakbim. Because if you think about it, this is the kind of manga where everyone speaks in a formal way, formal but very expressive way. smile wink grin
