Looking for a light read that's episodic, just simple daily life things. I'd enjoy it more if it there was food... and drinking...

Dungeon Meshi, if you don't mind the food being literally out of this world
Shinya Shokudou, perhaps. It's a bit odd in the sense that it actually deals with serious issues, but the humorous undertone is ever-present.
Little Forest -- Simple vignettes from daily life, yes, but it's not humorous, so I'm not sure it fits your request.

Kyou, Curry!
All of these revolve around food, I'm afraid. For some reason, the only alcohol-based manga I know either deal with addiction, or focus on drinking/alcohol itself in a serious way, for example Bartender, Sommelière, Kami no Shizuku...

Nickelodeon is one of my favorites. It's supernatural, but has that slice of life feel to it.
