No preference. Whether female or male, I have almost no preferences for characters' looks in fiction. What matters is personality, after all.

Gotta say, neck to shoulder is where it's at for me. Might be because some characters I like have that hair length.

I'm sure I do have a hair length preference, but when there's so many options it becomes too cumbersome to choose.

Bitching about Female main's hair would be one of those first world problems definitely...lol

Gotta say though, if I'm drawing just a single panel I'll probably go for a head-to-waist/hip one (like Saeko in my sig). For more panels head-to-neck one would help minimizing some work properly. Don't know what pros think anyway.

Mid-back is winning, hm. That´s slightly shorter than my hair length, as going lower is a bit impractical.

I believe the poll means hair that you used to see on anime girls before 2002. I am not sure on this though.

I don't have a specific preference. As long as they have hair I don't really care where their hair falls.

No preference really, though I guess thinking about the female characters I like, they tend to have shorter hair, though that's maybe because certain character traits tend to dictate manga female character hair length or vice versa.

Never thought about it (no preference). I have more of a preference for hair color though!

depends on the personality. Often hair says something about what type of person you are. And if it's long hair for a girl, how you style/dress it says something.

How did you settle on 2002 for "classic"? The older Miyazaki girl all have shorter hair for example and hair length doesn´t correspond to a time period. Hair styles do, but these aren´t the topic. They would be a more interesting topic though.

This poll uses the human body as a measurement, so classic is in the middle of Tailbone and Mid-thigh by that logic.

Because I knew a girl who had hair that long, actually it was floor length. Only a few people knew how long her hair was, even after she did a Hawaiian hula dance, grass skirt and everything , in a fundraiser, before the whole high school, with it almost all down! She was very cute!

Normally she wore it up with the ends at shoulder blade length (bra length). So most never notice.
