I read this manga about 5 years ago and it wasn't completed back then.

The MC is a middle-aged male writer whom (I think) is stuck in trying to make his new/current works (I think he has some complications with his past or something, probably about women too though I really forgot).
He's constantly urged by his editor to get it done/get some inspirations.
Then comes this little girl who's at elementary/middle school (she's little, that's for sure), the editor urged him to somehow use this little girl as an inspiration or something like that and often forces him to spend time with her. She also has some family problems IIRC.

One thing that I remember the most is when the MC saw the little girl at his garden and he somehow gets an inspiration by seeing a glimpse of how she would look like when she's matured (it's related to his writings), and then he starts to write again.

Oh, there's also a boy of her age that likes her and feels threatened by the MC. The girl also likes the MC but the MC sees her more as a child.

This is not ecchi, fantasy, genben, and shounen (it has a seinen feel). Just a good old slice of life. Which is really frustrating cause I used advanced search many times for this and I can't find it. Anyone who know this please tell me cause it's been bugging the hell out of me these last few days. Thx in advance.

Sounds like Kore wa Koi no Hanashi - a nice read.

I know it's completed in Japan, it's currently translated up to chapter 41 which is easy to locate, and you can find the rest online if you look for it hard enough.

I could never remember the name of it either when I would try to look for it.
