Hi I'm looking for a shoujo manga where the female protagonist is passionate about something or grows to love it. And im talking about a skill, talent, hobby, sport, whatever. Not about a guy. I constantly see these girls head over heels over some guy who don't even care that they exist. However romance is still a must in the story. It just shouldn't be her main focus. And I want a lot of character development, where you actually see growth in the character, and you want to root for them. I'd also prefer if it was pretty long.. Like at least 50 chapters. The male lead should also be cool and attractive. Some mangas like this are:

Beauty Pop would be my first recommendation. She is passionate about becoming a hair stylist, but there is a romance with her rival.

Cat Street - The main character is trying to rekindle her childhood passion for acting. Has a lot of character development and and non-dramatic love triangle. I liked both male leads.

Song of the Long March is more along the lines of Basara. Set in Tang China, the main character seeks revenge against the king who caused the deaths of her family, but also wants to protect her homeland. I really like the male lead in this one.It's ongoing.
