Hello I'm looking for some fantabulous shoujo manga from the late 80s or 90s. Most of my favorite shoujo mangas are from this era so please recommend me some good ones. Id also prefer that the art isn't like Rose of Versailles or Glass Mask. But other old art styles are fine. My favorite old shoujo mangas are:
BASARA (my ult fav manga)
Skip Beat
Mars
Please Save My Earth
Gakuen Alice
Ashita no Ousama
Sad Love Story
Sunadokei

Only a few to suggest I'm afraid, Confessing Truthfully, which is a Korean manhwa and from 2000.....sorry, I don't got much to suggest so I thought I'd at least mention it biggrin, Gokinjo Monogatari and Houkago Hokenshitsu, which, 2004, it's at least older and is fairly atypical of the genre......so yeah, might at least be worth a look.

Good luck smile

Hmm, it's hard to find scanlated 1980s manga, but there are a few from the 1990s.
From the 1980s:
The Change is actually a quite funny historical gender bender story.
Handsome na Kanojo is about acting, rather different compared to Skip Beat. If you like it you can check the author, YOSHIZUMI Wataru. She was very active in the 1990s with titles such as Marmalade Boy and Mint na Bokura.

From the 1990s
I really like Ghost Hunt, about a group of mismatch physics with real ghost and a lot of ghost-y science.
They are not fully scanlated sadly, but I enjoyed Toe Shoes (ballet), Kaitou Saint Tail(a magical thief girl story),Ppoi! (slight lice of life), Koucha Ouji (anthropomorphic teas) and Delicious! (a clumsy girl hosting cooking show).Tokimeki Tonight is not fully scanlated either but if it's available in your country and you want a really long read this was it.
In the vein of Basara, you can also check Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori (a.k.a Red River/ Anatolia Story), Kanata Kara, or Kakan no Madonna . If you like Kakan no Madonna, Saitou Chiho did a lot of manga. Fushigi Yuugi is in similar genre but not exactly my favourite but if you like it Watase Yuu was everywhere in the 1990s.

Apparently DN Angel was from the 1990s, I was interested on it because of the art, but there're some cute moments and some confusing arc.

Glass mask and sukeban deka both came out in 1976, but I think they're both great mangas.
