Which bands or genres of music do you listen to while reading an action oriented manga?
I don't have a specific band that I listen to all the the time but recently I've been listening to Metal-Core bands like Killswitch Engage and Shadows fall

Well, I personally don't listen to music at all while reading manga, but if I were I'd listen to either classical fast-paced music or techno.
Dimmu Borgir too because all songs are similar, and it feels like a really long soundtrack.

I myself don't listen to music but given no choice I would probably listen to all the beautiful soundtracks from "The Lord of the Rings" or my personal favorite "Lux Aeterna" from the Movie Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell

Depends on the manga, how fast and how hard, or the nature of the action.
I found that reading Akumetsu, which is slightly insane, that Ten Masked Men worked well... Might be because they make death metal covers of pop songs, which adds to the surreality and corruption of the normal into violence. Turmion Kätilöt, which is a Finnish Industrial Metal band, also works for the more whacked out social commentary and insane protagonist action, especially if you understand the Finnish lyrics.
Behemoth and Amon Amarth work with fast paced slaughtering. Like some Vinland Saga and Berserk fight scenes...
More dark electronic industrial for action more of the evil nature, or the "calm" before the storm where the characters are still just getting riled up. Bands like Combichrist, Carbon 12 and to some extent Funker Vogt. Ah! also Alien Vampires...

As trite as these following bands/artists may be, their music revs me up:
-Linkin Park
-Fall Out Boy
-Dashboard Confessional
-Avril Lavigne
-Justin Timberlake
-Nelly Furtado

^eh, whatever floats your boat I guess.
Personally, I prefer Abba and The Captain and Teneil.
Alternatively, I guess I have to go with Pantera's Fucking Hostile over and over again.

Bat out of Hell, by Meat Loaf.
Not the whole album, just the title track. On repeat, over, and over, and over, and, and And, AND AND AND-AND-AND...AND "LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL I'LL BE GONE WHEN THE MORNING COMES!"

I've found that listening to Summoning whilst reading Berserk enhances the atmosphere, but it's rather slowly paced. I think something like Solitary Endless Path by Drudkh is the perfect action/chase song though.
