Hi! I'm looking for good manga of any genre (except hentai, yuri, yaoi and harem), in which the side characters (or at least some of them) get fleshed out well. By that I mean that they don't seem that bidimensional compared to the main leads, that they get their good amount of screentime and character development, and that their story doesn't revolve around the main leads all the time.

I know there's an "Important secondary characters" category, but it's not that comprehensive, and many of the manga listed have more of an ensemble cast, while I'm looking for works in which it's clear who the main leads are, but the side characters are still put into focus.

Thanks!

Cesare.
Tokyo ghoul (And the sequel)
Tower of god
Chang Ge Xing
Gangsta.
Durarara!! <-- (& this is more for novel/ anime. But I'll list it anyway.)

That's all I can remember for now. There's definitely more but I don't keep a manga list. I'll post them in the future when I remember them.

Kono Oto Tomare!. It's gradual, but it's there. You'll come to appreciate almost all the characters
Same with 3-gatsu no Lion
Baccano! (novel) is great, I also recommend the anime. Same author of Durarara!!.
I'll also second Eyeshield 21. It's a great manga.

Muhyo to Rouji no Mahouritsu Soudan Jimusho has a really nice cast. While there are only 2 actual leads, most of the other characters get their time to shine, too.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatte Iru while it's more episodic, has little plot development, and not exactly chronological, character engagements really makes this work a fun read.

The manga Bokura no Kiseki has the best character development I've ever seen in a manga. Each character is intricate and has their own personality that its kind of astonishing.

It's centered around 10+ kids so the level of uniqueness and development each character gets is really amazing.

You should try it
