If there is a one sided love triangle with a popular guy. As in, she only likes the loser/nerd/otaku/plain guy and the popular guy causes them problems, but I wouldn't complain if she got caught up in misunderstandings with the popular guy. Like the guy she likes sees her getting kissed by the popular guy.
The guy she likes has an inferiority complex and doesn't understand why she is with him.

Female lead is a beautiful model who is also a vampire. She's used to flirting and superficial relationships because of her need to absorb energy. Then she gets involved with a loner guy with mysophobia but she needs physical contact to survive. He questions why someone like her would be interested in someone like him. There's even a popular idol childhood friend for a one-sided love triangle who tries to interfere. It starts off comedic then gets more dramatic later. It's an addicting read so it's perfect that the series seems to be getting close to ending.

My Hero! is a pretty down-to-earth romance as far as shoujo goes.
It's about a normal guy who falls in love with the female lead and they start going out.
In the later chapters a rival popular guy appears but can't really interfere between the two.
It might not fit your request completly because the female lead isn't popular but quite normal...

Horimiya though the love triangle ends pretty quickly and isn't a huge plot point.

Well if it continues (which apparently it might after the artist is done with Kuzu no Honkai), the last chapter released shows a guy who was going for the female lead.
