The schedule. I don´t see any possible surprises but getting 3 confirmed hits will automatically make this one of the best seasons in quite some time.
Atom - The Beginning Tezuka´s work went though many middle of the road reinterpretations during the last decade but this one will live up to his legacy. It´s easy to bring up the more somber Pluto but the best comparison I can give is the anime version of RideBack (the longer manga is way darker). I even noticed touches from Verhoeven´s Robocop in the storytelling and now hope that some of the past works of the manga´s author and artist will get a 2nd life after the show debuts. The Pokemon studio will co-animate here btw. The one that once gave us a good Berserk anime. Oh yeah…
Berserk I give these clowns exactly 1 ep. to show even the basic desire to improve before I leave forever but who am I kidding? We know how this will shake out, so take it with humor.
Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul The first show was one of the biggest sunrises of this anime decade and the team showed willingness to shelve the unrelated Moe-spin-off to keep the quality up. The developer is apparently interested in the continued positive press for the source game, as the disc sales of the expensive looking show were nothing to be proud of. Art won over commerce but the new subtitle is the worst. The prequel had good female character, so the new protagonist should work out, even if a new writer was assigned this time.
Shingeki no Kyojin Undeniably the thousand pound gorilla in the room. What interests me is how the later parts of the season will be received. Things will get rather dark and slow, with some of the characters (as Levi) showing a nasty side to them too. The TV version of the first anime toned down the manga´s content a bit, so don´t ask me what will happen here. They should also stop just before the potentially controversial backstory of the world will be fully addressed.
Kidou Senshi Gundam Thunderbolt is started a 2nd ONA season and my interest in the Terra Formars OVA is pretty low, due to them skipping an entire (set up) arc.
Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome should proof interesting due to the director alone and the highly talented Polygon Pictures is finally adapting a manga I care about with Blame!. Resident Evil : Vendetta lastly looks like trashy fun, the 2nd CG film was better than the first too, and they finally bothered to show proper gore.

I always asked myself which TV anime would be the first to go R-18 and feature (censored) genitalia. This season´s Josei pr0n adaptations finally pulled the trigger but it´s a series of 5 min. shorts. Who knew?
Atom - The Beginning 7,5/10 - the full show should be a 8,5/10 The adaptation will soon pick up the pace and focus on its philosophical implications. A clear highlight is the art-style, that looks reminiscent enough to Tezuka´s own to feel like a worthy tie-in. The vibrant colors stick out too. Who knew that the Pokemon studio had a good show in them?
Berserk
Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul 8/10 The show got weirdly crowded by ep.2 and the new protagonist is more of an avatar as of now. New viewers will be lost for sure. Hats off to MAPPA for making the show look like an anime film. It actually looks better than most current anime films! The studio is now officially the “new” Madhouse, as both were founded by Masao Maruyama. He left his former home after nearly bankrupting it with a bunch of artsy money sinks. Good luck MAPPA…
Shingeki no Kyojin 8/10 S02 is exactly what it says on the box and I will again wait for a movie compilation, as the flood of Titan content managed to burn me out. My clear highlight is the new ED sequence, that looks a refined version of Hajime Isayama´s original art style. Why doesn´t this adaptation look like this? The anime´s art-style is somewhat bland, while the manga almost looks amateurish (yet his layouts are great). A happy middle would be nice.
I got no ongoing anime but Justice League Action, Samurai Jack, Steven Universe, The Simpsons and Teen Titans Go! will keep me company. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract overcame the odds and turned out to be the 2 really good N52 film in a row. It also works as a “lost” mini-series for Young Justice.
The 3 locked-in shows tuned out to be the only truly worthwhile series. One is even semi-original! Slow clap. Meaning this season is a drastic improvement on the rubbish Winter Season. Summer may prove pretty rough too, despite promising the best anime of the year with Ballroom e Youkoso.

I think the reason why i disslike the berserk movies and the new tv shows so much is becouse i disslike the direction the manga have taken and how awful it is atm
and the constant breaks the mangaka goes on does not help
they might be OK...i just dont see it
same with the new game
it is impossible for me to like any of it
