I'm trying to find the name of the first manga I ever read. I found it in a library probably around 5 years ago, so it's recent, but not new. I think it was a shounen manga. It was about a boy who was introduced to a virtual reality?? game by a female friend where one would "reveal sleeping dragon", only his was literally sleeping. Somewhere down the line, he becomes determined to defeat somebody (I believe it was the current best player). He somehow is introduced to a special training sim and makes his dragon OP, later defeating the other dude. There was an anime for it as well, I think.

I'm not sure if I remembered this part correctly, but somehow the main character saved the world??
