Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm reading I's right now and enjoying it. Although i'm not sure which came out first, it seems like one of them blatantly ripped off the other and just threw in or took out side characters.

This is what I kinda hate when people say this before another.

Ichigo 100% came after I's, so you can expect that Ichigo 100% "copied" I's.

This is what you call "stereotypical" romance manga. Typical story, typical characters, typical ending. Its just some mangas are able to pull it off smoothly and make a good read.

What goes through, is what you first read makes the biggest impression. Than after reading another you find this "manga" inferior.

But to give you recommendations. Try Kimagure Orange Road

I hope the similarities aren't stereotypes or cliches. I tend to think of those as like, "they all have a perverted characters" or "nobody ever commits to a relationship until the end". I think its beyond a stereotype when its like specific plot devices and you can write whole paragraphs of about story arcs and specific story events.

Most sci-fi films deal with a struggle between good and bad and overcoming unsurmountable odds. However, its beyond cliche for another film to come out with the premise of a young orphan trains in the ways of a mysterious power and learns to use a beam saber, he later befriends his sister, unknowingly, to stop his father (unknowingly) and his father's master, from taking over the galaxy... and your story covers both the life of the father, takes place over 6 movies, and you decide to release the last 3 first. And the son is trained by the father's original master. And both guys see their master die before their eyes... during a fight with light swords... and the father dies at the hands of a guy with a double edge light sword. At that point you've gone past cliche and stereotypes of sci-fi movies and you're just copying Star Wars.

I still like both manga, but hopefully other ones in this genre won't be so similar that they seem like copycats. But now i'm off topic.

of course ichigo and i's r different...*spoiler*
especially the ending...in i's, the main hero successfully end up going out with the main heroine...but in ichigo the main hero didn't end up going out with the main heroine, but the secondary main heroine...that kinda suck for me...
but both of em r masterpiece!
