My main problem with yaoi is that it always gets very... graphic. I think the reason why it is scanlated so often is because it gets liscensed less.

It's girls/women. I'm not saying that some guys don't like yaoi, but it's 90% females. Reviews by actual gay people have shown that they go at yaoi, because it's usually romantic fantasy written by girls, for girls, and doesn't represent anybody's reality.

I personally don't like yaoi. It's way too graphic, most of it has little real plot, and I don't like romance in the first place. Which is a shame, because yes, some of the art is really pretty. But as long as I can filter it out, and as long as the non-yaoi is still coming, I'm all good!

Basically I see it as the manga equivalent of those cheesy , trashy romance novels girls and women like to read. And I've stayed away from those all my life so I'll stay away from these. Also the purchasing power girls have is crazy. So if it's that popular with girls no wonder it's so abundant. Ask yourself in every family who spends the most money on smaller items(exclude big things like cars and stuff)? Yup women do.

I'd post the typical why do women want to see two men doing it, but then it would be shot down when someone brought up the fact that guys like watching two women doing it. That being said Yaoi is one of the two things that disturbs me in my life, the other being Harry Potter.
