Ah, Choosing between powers - should read the front page first next time >_>

Geass. Quite a bit more useful then... uh, killing people in any physically possible situation you can think of. Sides, Geass doesn't always end with dead bodies.

People need to actually read at least the first post in a thread before posting. This thread is not for comparing the two shows.

Honestly, I'd never be able to figure out something useful to do with a death note. I've never felt the need to kill anyone. Mind control can always come in handy, even if I'd feel guilty overusing it.

True. But I won't feel the least bit of guilt overusing it. As long as nothing goes wrong... biggrin

I prefer having the Geass. I mean, Geass can order people around (given you can only use it on someone once) but with Death Note... well, you can only kill people lol. And I don't want to kill people. Besides, you can kill people with Geass too.

Compared to Geass where you can kill someone discreetly and can gain immortality through a contract, having a death note is pointless. Not only is it ostentatious to have a death note but you also can't go to heaven or hell so why bother?

It would be good to able to read thought's. And having controll of it so you don't need to wear earmuffs like that chinese dude in Geass.
I don't think I would like to kill. No Death Note for me.

But I Like Death Note as a manga more than Geass!

Well I don't really want to kill anybody(much as I hate some people) so I choose Geass, mind control and mind reading to be specific. biggrin

I like DN more than CG as a manga/anime though, smile

I would take Zero's powers. Seeing as though I do not have the desire to have a death note.

With the geass you don't have to kill. If the person you hate is evil you can simply command him to become good or erase his memory but with the death note all you can do is kill .so geass is way better smile

The Geass thing.

As for the series, Death Note VS. Code Geass, Death Note was more interesting to me.

second this
while codegeass' second season was brilliant, the first one was boring and the only reason i kept watching was because i had nothing else to do...but im sure i would have dropped geass(im glad i didnt) if it werent for the second season's high ratings and positive reviews
deathnote on the other hand was brilliant from beginning to end(though i was a little annoyed with the new characters(near and whatshisname) )

as for powers...i choose neither
alot of people on here forgot that you can use geass only once on each person(that is,assuming we're talking about mind control)
and i dont want to kill people either

morally both are wrong, making a person do something against their wish is wrong too

This. I loved both anime's but really it was no contest for which power I'd rather have. Though I'd have issues using either one... but I don't think I'm saint enough to *not* use the Geass. So in other words the Death Note would be easier *not* to use... Still Geass here.

A Death Note is pretty limited, actually. You can't seriously need to kill that many people? (unless you're an evil genius like Kira. <3)

Plus, I know it's a bit extrapolated but : Geass = Opportunity to do whatever the f*** you want, without having to suffer the consequences.
Conclusion : I'd chose the Geass. Mwahahahahahahaha !!! User Posted Image

Wow this is a hard choice, but if I were to pick i'd go with Geass, since one you can control people pretty much forever and two it looks cool, but with Death Note you can control people but they have to die at some point. Down side though you have to look people in the eye, but compared to Deat Note this is an upside (better than having to know their name anyway).
