looking for a manga where the main character (preferable male) is very weak in the beginning and is usually, but not always, is being taken care of someone else. Later this person becomes stonger and it goes one. Or one where the main character is very adaptable -Mx0-

examples are like Change Guy, Zero In, Holy Land, Shamo

Click on the Series Info link, then check the box next to 'Shounen'. Then search.

Voila.

But no... Uhh.. Trying to think of more obscure ones since I assume you've read all the main ones (naruto, bleach, one piece, 666 satan, flame of recca, hajime no ippo... etc etc..)

Black God
Air Gear (Another common one)
Change Guy
Deadman Wonderland
Claymore (Another common)
Dragon Ball (Who'd a thunk?)
Enchanter
Full Metal Alchemist
Ga-Rei
World Embryo
Psyren
[m]DAngel[/m]
Tenjou Tenge (Common)

etc etc etc

IMO Your description fits Kenichi from History's strongest disciple Kenichi the best.

Although... yeah, a lot of shonen have that common theme, but I feel the growth of Kenichi is the most entertaining and "real" (as in you see all the hard work and suffering he had to go thought to get there, and not just your usual power ups because he wants to save the girl he like or whatever)

there are so many shonen titles that can fit this description, lol
But i'm feeling really lazy, so all i've got to contribute is Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!... cuz I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet ^.^

Yeah I second Kenichi it's a great series, to bad the translations are so far behind.

I second Gantz. It's probably my favourite weak to strong progression, due to the character growth and not just ability/attitude.

That plot is everywhere man you could pretty much click on five titles at random and one of them is bound to be what your looking for (this is assuming you excluded yaoi from your search since that apperantly encompasses 50% of all manga for some god forsaken reason).

How could anyone forget Sumomomo Momomo? That one also has a main character who is weak!
