Like, most of the overrated ones have been translated to English... AND the ones that never end (Bleach, Inuyasha [let's go break a tiny little marble-sized thinggy into millions of pieces and have a frickin' episode for each one, well... maybe let's not put one for even every friggin' episdde{my view of the anime makers}]

Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seiya and Yu Yu Hakusho along with several of the fighting manga... After you read one of them, the rest are similar. They are so patternized. For emaple, when the good comes in group, aim for the big boss, and when they encounter a villian, it usually happen that they will use 1-1 tactic. The rest of the comrade either watching or moving ahead. Or, when they talk too much before fighting. These totally annoying me...

Death Note is overrated. On the several attempts I've made at reading it, I've rarely made it past the second page. That's not a joke or sarcasm or anything. That's the truth.

Oh My Goddess is overrated. Yeah the story is good and the art is godly, but damn. After almost twenty years of building up I want to see some babies. Atleast let Keiichi lose his cherry. It's freaking repetetive.

Well yes, this is a waste for you to read, because I'm gonna just repeat others, for my opinions are much the same as everyone else's.

InuYasa - My first real manga, I realized on the 20th volume that it was a waste of my time, since it never ends, and is pretty boring.

Naruto - It was good... when everybody wasn't talking about it. When there were no fillers in the anime, and when Sakura wasn't crying in every damned page. Then it became more and more famous... and boring... and then it was in top ten of many people's list... where it shouldn't be. I liked his brother's 666 Satan much better, but thast's another story.

Bleach - I've nothing to say about this one that you already do not know.

Love Monster - The story is always the same, but somehow this one became a bit more popular then the others - the girl's alwaxs whining, and everybody falls in love with her, and it seems like nobody has better things to do then to listen to her problems and all... It's more popular then it should be.

Vampire Knight and Dragon Ball and Evangalion - again, I've nothing to add.

I'd say any that last for ages and ages and ages, because I always get the feeling that there's not enough plot to make it worth dragging them out.

Prince of Tennis! I'm reading that one, but I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it. Basically, it's Ryoma beating various people in matches that don't really matter at stupid odds, usually by revealing some OMG super-special move that virtually no-one else has ever done. Over and over again. For umpteen volumes.

Since I don't think anyone's mentioned anything yaoi, I reckon Only The Ring Fing Knows is overrated. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it - it's a cute story with nice artwork - but there are better examples of high school yaoi with more plot. I personally rate Little Butterfly :-)

Also, Okane ga Nai. I really have no idea why that's so popular.

Yeah sometimes I get sick of people spamming about how Monster is the God of all seinen, but that doesn't make it bad.
This. 20th Century Boys or Pluto>Monster.

CLAMP stuff, because they can't draw and every fangirl likes it.

The usual shonen stuff that everybody, including me, reads. Doesn't make it less enjoyable.

Those 2 things come up, everybody goes nuts for those things.

I actually like Vampire Knight, but I absolutely hate Naruto!

Naruto: I'd have to say that this one is the most overrated out of all the ones I'm listing. I tried it a one point, and quit at the first volume. I don't know how people become so obsessed with a manga like this one, unless of course, they're Sasuke fangirls.

Inuyasha: I actually read up to volume 4 of this one. I quit because it was obviously repeating itself, and yet we still see these obsessed fans.

Vampire Knight: I really haven't read it, but I don't need to say anymore. It's overrated, period.

Death Note: This is the only manga on the list that I finished. I thought it was a very good manga, but there is no need to obsess over it.

I actually don't agree about 20th Century Boys being better than Monster, as I much preferred the latter. But regardless, despite the fact that I adore Monster and think it's amazing, I do have to agree that the people who go insane if someone doesn't love it as much as them do make it overrated. They kind of ruin it. Except without the kind of.

Mainly though, I agree about CLAMP. I just don't think anything they've done is that brilliant. I know tons of people love them and all, but I just don't. Really. I'll read their stuff when I'm bored, but I just don't find it entertaining.

CLAMP
Dragonball (probably bcoz at that time, db was considered 'unique' but now u find that kind of plot in lots of other manga)
Both 'popular' shounen n shoujo mangas (ex. naruto, vampire knight.)

CLAMP, Ken Akamatsu and the majority of Shonen Jump-published manga. Oh, and Berserk.

InuYasha overrated? Haven't seen a fan in 3 years. And most of the 'overrated' manga that were mentioned are actually good. And who the hell cares about fanbases. It's the manga that you should be evaluating.

Naruto, Tenjou Tenge, Vampire Knight and Nana... all highly overrated.

These are the ones that come to mind at the moment.... I've included both shounen and shoujo to be fair. Many others but I'm too lazy to type out the whole list.
