Poppoya Love Letter - You'd have to have a lead brick in place of your heart if this one doesn't get you a few times.

Saikano Love Story Killed - Wasn't as depressing as Saikano but it's pretty sad.

Hoshi no Koe - Not really as tragic as some of the others mentioned but it's touching and caused me to shed a tear or two.

Voices from a distant star
Oh my, The more I thought about it, the harder I cried, and I couldn't stop crying for the rest of the night, and even had to call in sick the next day

I'm kind of surprised no one mentioned it, but Ai-Ren is a really sad one from start to finish. It didn't make me cry, but a lot of people seemed to cry at it.
You also might want to try Solanin. I agree with those that said Hoshi no Koe.

I also suggest browsing this thread for manga recommendations.

YES! Who mentioned Nanaconfused?, Although I hadn't paid attention to a lot of important details in the beginning so it got confusing latter in the story. After ch 69 I was so confused I decided to go back to ch1 and start all over again. (OMG! everything takes on a whole new meaning the 2nd time you read it!) If think you understand Nana, chances are, you really don't. even have a clue.
Only read this spoiler if you have finished Nana ch.01-74
[spoiler]If you only read it once, you probably didn't notice,
1 Hatchi is pregnate on 3 different Christmas.
2 Takumi and Hatchi didnt actually get married until 7 years latter.
3 Remember in the beginning when Shin first tried out for the band, Hatchi made him fill out a job application, but nana set the app on fire, noubu and nana were shocked how much his playing sounded like Ren's.? That Shin, the one Nana told to surpass Ren one day.and joined the band that day, is not the That day happened 4 months after Shin was arrested,

I ive re-read Nana 5 times already, and I still notice new things Ive never noticed before. somehow that little detail Provides a lot of info.

Second hoshi no koe.

And another one that wasn't mentioned- forever honey a bittersweet one-shot. I, myself , don't really read one-shots, but if they are good, so why not^^
Those kind of stories always make me cry, so...

Quote from Saexel
If Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari doesn't make you cry, I'm not sure what will. Check out the other titles by the mangaka as well.

Other titles...

- Mucha Kucha Daisuki
- Fushigi Yuugi
- Zettai Kareshi
- Ayashi No Ceres (okay, so basically anything by Watase Yuu)
- Lady Georgie
- Candy Candy (real tear-jerkers)
- Full Moon Wo Sagashite

Hmmm, I never cried. At most, I just pitied the characters or situation. I think I might be heartless or just I seen sadder things in life.

These made me cry, they are real sad and touching, and make you think for a while.

Zettai Kareshi
Cry out for Love at the Heart of the World
Tomoyo after - OMG this is a must read, even if it is a spin off
Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari
Deep Love - Reina no Unmei
Mucha Kucha Daisuki
Renri no Eda
Pita Ten - The ending of it
Saikano
Wasurerarenai

I'm not at all emotional ut Ayashi no ceres tugged at my heart strings. X/1999 has some sad parts as well but isn't complete and on hiatus atm. Angel Sanctuary was amazing as well and fairly tragic.
