I posted on Naruto being a masterpiece and we're having a discussion there now. It's not always pretty but I must say that I have TRULY ENJOYED the conversation. Yes it gets heated as I understand not everyone is a fan of Naruto and while I personally as an adult get discouraged at criticism on the net (there used to be a time when people actually INTELLIGENTLY expressed positive and negative views with actuals facts so that EVERYONE went away a little bit better for the experience of debate) which is very immature and uninformed at times.

That said, I love this site. I posted this while my GF was cooking dinner during the Oscars and already there are great responses. I love this site cuz as a 30 something professional male it's great to come to a site and learn about new manga (I personally learned of berserk and Kekkaishi on this site amongst others) and to be able to communicate openly about favorites across titles, manga-ka and so on.

I truly hope everyone here continues to support this site and post more like I did about your favorite manga. We may not all agree but I do hope and I do think that we can and should walk away as better Manga fans as a result!-- Thanks!!

But we're already bordering on the illegal activity by providing news FOR illegal activity. Anyways, glad you love the site. We try to do our best~

I actually work in entertainment and deal with many of the groups you guys may be borrowing from. I think a wind of change is coming where you will be able to participate more legally and not sacrifice your current actions but time will tell. I'm pulling for you as I think the reality of this day and age is that companies and creators need to find a way to particpate with communities like this one if they want to survive and not find ways to shut it down. Once information is compromised it always finds a way to survive and those who try to shut it down pay the ultimate price. My wish is that the fans and the manga-ka actually find common ground as those are the two groups who most want to intimately work together but are being controlled by big brother. Time will tell but what you're doing is a service--please do not forget that.

The other part is that there are already plenty of places that host manga, starting with the scanlation groups themselves. If we start hosting manga, a whole boatload of problems will start coming our way such as staff, bandwidth, finding scans, and the impatience of fans in general. Just by staying out of that domain, we don't have to deal with those kinds of problems.

well this site should stay as legal as possible cause I just love this site. I would hate to keep every single website that does the translations and check everyday on every single one. Great job guys! Also I think that the My Manga List is so useful. I used to use notepad and keep track of all my manga which was about like 40 lol.

I should have read this before I started working on Mangatraders.

You also got the most problematic thing of all "users"

Yeah, I pity the places who work at StopTazmo, MangaTraders, #lurk, Evil Empire, and the like.

But then again, since B-U is a database site, I guess we have our own set of problems...Although it's easier since regular people can just register and change info instead of going through us. Makes life easier~

*nods in agreement*

I can understand that quite a bit, i'm a member of a site that is about anime, yet i have never until joining this site encountered ana admin who's "nice" and friendly, and actually participates in the forum. the other site was too much, and it even went as far as to push members away due to the admins attitude, or unfairness. Life doesn't need to be any tougher it already is without us adding more to the fire.

since joining this site i've been much happier. ^^

so in all honesty i can say thank you. bigrazz

I feel for you, from being on both sides of the fence, it's hard to get into a fan base that even the person that runs it isn't a personal person (lol I made a pun)

I have been guilty many times for not being friendly to users however, I guess it's something about being asked something very simple (to me that is), or asked about something I would not have any clue in answering. It's very hard to be in a cheery mood when you are placed in a position that requires you to deal with things that you can't help as well.

I tip my hat, at the admins here for doing a good job with things

Well, we each have our own area of expertise. Personally, if I can't be of any help in a particular situation, I just stay silent...

As for being in a good and cheerful mood, it's really hard to do when the person you're trying to help is being a complete idiot (luckily, doesn't happen here often).

sakura-rose, you're welcome for saying we're such a great site~

this really is such a better community than most forums. A lot less anonymous "i can do anything on the internet" stupidity if you know what i mean. People are more themselves and there is hardly any flaming at all.
