I hope the American remake goes all the way back to the manga, and doesnt throw any of the "I Love You", sex, dreams allways come true with hard work, excessive useless violence, guns, or any of the other BULLSHIT that makes American films so unbearable.
If they do this, it sould be good, even if it does bomb the box office because Americas minds have been raped and purged of good movies since Indiana Jones 1. Come on, Lethal Weapon 4? Maxtix 3? Guns guns, sex sex, "I Love You, thats why", "NOOOOO", explosion, roll credits.

i totally agree with zelda american films have gone down the drain it's all mainly guns and sex it's so predictable the only thing in american films that are worth watching are comedies cuz they are retarded and u cant help but laugh

Oh really? That sounds like a lot of manga out there. That is not just in American films it's actually in films from other countries as well. In fact all of those are in all forms of entertainment.

OMG! I really hope they don't do that! It will so kill the anime and manga of Death Note! And WTF are they thinking wanting Zac Ephron in the movie?!?! In High school musical 2 it was like he looked like he belonged in boy band or something, and he was orange That is just so wrong! I really don't want them to make another movie of Death Note. I really think they should just leave it alone, the movie that was already made wasn't as good as the anime and manga to begin with, I dread to see what the Americans will do to it *shudder*

Eragon wasn't that good....the book was way better, the movie was like a copy of LOTR that failed.

Are you even Japanese? L isn't japanese, btw, he's half japanese half something-foreign, says volume 13. The live action was absolutely HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE! It made my eyes bleed! At least us americans could do Ryuk good, at LEAST?!
The acting was shit, everyone was too frigging cute, and they totally got L wrong. L isn't supposed to be attractive in the first place. And HSM is good in its own respective way. Its targeted at elementary kids, you freak. Why did you even watch it if you hate disney so much?
Memoirs of a Geisha was awesome, as well, and got very good reviews. Just because someone isn't from a certain country doesn't mean that they can't appreciate it, or share their customs and like it.

dude arch all the ones you named were either crap or were never books or games first (cept for lotr and narnia) i mean eragon shouldn't even be considered a book adaption more like a horrible book remake. God i want to to kill that director he messed the movie up so bad and now thier isnt even a chance of eldest coming out. Also how could you forget to add harry potter to your list i mean it was the best book to movie adaption in our times.
anyways im not to worried about this, like america's planning to do a dragon ball Z live action which would be worth going to watch to either see how badly they failed or how cool it came out
