I hope that there wasn't a similar topic already (if there was, I'm stupid cause I couldn't find it!).
Basically, I'm looking for a (preferably long, as in at least 10 volumes, but if you know a really good one that is shorter it's ok too) romantic manga (smut is fine) with a good, twisting plot and a female lead that isn't one of those cute, sweet, delicate little things (you know, like Tohru from Fruits Basket or Misuzu from Air), but someone with balls (maybe a bit of an action manga is okay).
Also, if you know any in particular where the male lead is hot and cool, and one of the two (or both) has a mysterious past, that would be a bonus.
In short, a manga along the lines of Tokyo Crazy Paradise, Skip Beat!, Hana Yori Dango or Kodocha (even if it's short).
Oh yeah, Comedy would be a plus.
I know it sounds like an insane amount of conditions, but lately I can't seem to find any other manga that fire up my interest like those did.

You can read
H3 high school (the girl here is pretty tough, but dotish)
Special A ( girl has everything , but it kinda get annoying some point in the middle i wish the author finishes it)
School x fight

Akuma de Sourou (10 or 11 vol?) could be a fit... Takeru is definitely hot and mysterious-ish. Kayano seems a little wimpy at first but she grows stronger through the series. I think she's great. And if you haven't read Kare Kano (21 vol), that has both the strong female lead and the guy-with-a-mysterious-past points.

~Matsuri Special (heriones a wrestlerrr...that wants to be more girly)
~Mx0 (the main character is a guy in a magicschool that doesnt no magic but hes strong)
~H20 (manwha where the guys are prety cool n has some love triangle n the classic bad guy falls for good girl story with some love triangle)
~Cat street(same author as Hana Yori Dango,Matsuri Special)

Wow thanks for all your suggestions! I have read quite a few of them (Power!, Akuma de Sourou, KareKano, YamaNade, H3 and Host Club)... however I forgot to mention one thing... that I'd rather not read manga that aren't complete... which means I'll definitely go and start reading Mx0!
Any other ideas that are already completely scanslated?

Change 123 - superb art and the heroine kicks major ass (not completed).
Pretty Face - very funny gender bender, male karate chap turns female (completed and full translated).
Read my comments and review on those titles for a decent explaination.

Thanks to everyone for their wonderful suggestions! Now I sure have quite a few manga to download...!
I've started Hot Blooded Woman yesterday (right now, I'm on volume 21!!) and it's absolutely amazing! Exactly what I was looking for! Arigatou Gozaimasu!

Its weird... u all forgot About "Claymore" and slayers  and prolly angel densetsu. The main char is not a girl but there ar epleny of though girls there
