That ending was pretty dramatic with how Munsu went out. He was a true badass to the end, but as some mentioned, more fight scenes would've been nice. Also, some detail on the blond would've made it a bit better I guess... It just seems like she suddenly appears, fight occurs, and the story ends with her doing really nothing spectacular. Personally, I would like for a happy ending, but at least the ending to the manga actually puts a clear-cut conclusion and not some cliffhanger.

i found it funny how Munsu kicked Aji Tae and it clearly looked like a low blow. But i liked the ending otherwise. It's still awesome, just not as awesome as it used to be. I thought it dropped a bit during the mandrake dream. Great manga though loved it.

after so much action scenes why not have the last battle between munsu and aji tae be a psychological battle? at least

Hmm... the ending was awesome.

And about the manga:
I can state that Aji Tae is my new best villain: never have I met such a character who's capable of both absolute good and evil, while switching sides and intentions faster than you could blink your eye.

Btw, it's a bit sad that the authors didn't write up anything about the past of Aji Tae: yes, he or it was supposedly a demon or some sort of being. But it was never explained how or why "he" was imprisoned: were his views representative of all of his kind, or were the ones like him merely an aberration?

Overall, the story wasn't too bad. But the world just wasn't fleshed out enough and I felt that some of the characters like Marian and Chung Ryan were rather short-changed. Yes, the battle scenes were awesome but what about the monster races , the various characters and so forth? Yeah, it was all about the Shin Angyo Onshi yet the various inhabitants of the world must have had quite a bit of contact and encounters.

Usually I don't like making short posts, but in this case...

It was probably the most hardcore ending, ever.

(The Sando business was a bit irritating for awhile though.)

Is there any hint of romance in this manga and is the ending a really sad one?

Shin Angyo Onshi does have some romance scattered about. The ending is kinda sad in some ways I guess, though I wouldn't call it horribly so.

And that was one truly epic way of dying. That overwhelmingly victorious face has been burned to my retinae.

yeah, the part where Sando shifts to the dark side was a real heart breaker! i know it seemed a bit difficult to acknowledge how she almost suddenly switched back to the good (Munsu) side, however not after chopping off one of his limbs roll eyes anyways, she almost killed the engineer guy and Bang Ja back up on the mountain where they supposedly went to look for the miracle flower that would wake up Munsu. She acted very very cold and obeyed Aji Tae like she was already a part of him. Now, this was very different back when Sando was still with Munsu. When Munsu told her to kill, Sando didn't always agree nor did she do it without batting an eye, unlike her machine-like submission to Aji Tae. yeah, it revolts me, but i guess Aji Tae had used some black magic to keep Sando's mind engrossed in his complete control. i agree with what was said in the other comments, about dying a little inside, when Sando switched to Aji Tae's side. But really, the one who saved the world ultimately turned out to be Sando herself, as Munsu lost both arms. One to Sando and the other to Aji Tae. There is also the part when Munsu asks Sando to "clean" the arm she chopped off, so he can move easier without losing too much blood. lol... dude, i mean how is that even possible. Doing acupuncture with a big ass sword like Sando's to help Munsu live a few moments longer until he (hopefully) manages to kill Aji Tae. Anyways, it is a very gritty moment and it certainly has its effects on the reader.
But no matter what, this remains a perfect manga for me, with all the right ingredients that will make you remember this amazing story for a long long time.

was it me or was that moon child, thunder using girl/guy just cut off from the story? in the last volume you see him using lightening during the final battle...but then what? he just disappears?...anyways won sul had to be the most pitiful character...seriously wow.

and about the way aji tae died...was a disappointment...-_- it feels like...all that effort everyone put in and he just dies like that

i think Aji Tae's death was actually fitting. it fit the relationship he had with Munsu perfectly from that time. he's been on the run from the guy for a long time cause he was scared. and in the end it was his fear of Munsu that kills him. sure he was strong and could have probably killed them all with ease. but when someone who thinks they are invincible gets crushed bad once in their life, it leaves a heavy impression of that person in their mind. no matter how much he schemed he never really dealt with his fear from that first loss he had.
