Well the reason for the hougkoyu is clear now.
Now what does Yuroichi have to do with this? And we need to learn how the hollowfication happens.

I swear, these chapters aren't long enough. mad

@Calliber - You're absolutely right, I could read chaps twice as long and it still wouldn't suffice.
And just when I thought things couldn't get more interestingbiggrin

God, I'm so bloody excited right now! Urahara is awesomeness incarnated!

Damn short chapter again! But Urahara still working that coat! He looks so freakin' hot in it! /fangirl squee

So he's already made the Hogyouku. Really wondering how it actually works in the Vizarding process, since we've only seen its end result with Wonderweiss confused

Aizen was so powerful back then, i don't know why people say Urahara was amazing in the chapter when only thing he got to do was explain some things and get surprised at Aizen's display of power.

Regardless of whether or not Aizen is so powerful, he still fears Urahara.

I'm glad i'm right. He already created the hougyoku before this things with aizen happened. Woaah, woaah!! I bet he made all the research during the 9 years that tite skip to explain. And then through hougyoku these shinigami who were subjected to hollowfication process, thanks but no thanks to aizen, will have a stabilized form but as urahara said it is a gamble since vaizards still has to conquer their inner hollows from within. Maybe that's the reason why aizen wants to have hougyoku cause what he only know is hollowfication but aizen doesn't know how to create an individual with both shinigami and hollow powers. When aizen turned them into hollows, they have enormous power for one moment but they were down the next, maybe because what Aizen did, didn't help the shinigami to keep a more stabilize form. Hell, yeah, nice chapter.

Now what i want to know is how did aizen turn kensei and the others as hollow. Since urahara will be busy with treating these patients aizen will have his next move maybe on how to cover his ass and put a blame on urahara no

Also it's really fun how urahara can still joke on shinji's ugly mask when in fact urahara knows that shinji has undergone the hollowfication process.

For me i think this proves that shinji is strong since he is still standing although you can say that he was struck last but nevertheless i can say that shinji still has command of himself with a mask on his face. laugh

IMO, the most important part of this chapter was the fact that GIN IS SO ADORABLE WHEN HE'S LITTLE!!!

Now, back to the topic.

I have vaguely hazy memories of reading somewhere that Urahara didn't know just how powerful the Hougyoku was because he'd never used it or something. Well, that's obviously not true...

I'm curious to see if Tite will tell us how Aizen learned all that he did in this arc. I mean, I know he did research and stuff, as was exposed in the regular series, but it'd be neat to see if he got started off because someone told him where to look.

@Calliber: you sum up the problem with these chapters perfectly. Good job.

Btw, anyone else notice that the way Tite draws feet makes them look like disproportionately small and skinny rectangles?

Awesome chapter here.

I'm still wondering how on earth all of this happened in the past, yet in the future Aizen, Gin and Tousen were still able to become Captains. All the witnesses to his crime are still alive anyways, i'm still wondering why Urahar and company got exiled whilst Aizen stays and gets promoted. That's just wrong, and they still weren't able to predict that Aizen wasn't gonna do something bad in the future? lol

That's what i'm asking why did SS let the same thing happened again, being tricked by Aizen, that is. I think Aizen just wanted to be in SS so he can have access to human world where urahara is so he can tracked the hougyoku. If Aizen is in SS he will have access to information about the hougyoku since the some of the studies made by urahara may have been left in SS plus the fact that he can monitor urahara, i'm not sure about whether there is a mechanism in SS that allows you to do so. I was wondering why nobody suspected, unless SS after urahara and the rest fled SS, has been under an illusion which Aizen cast, like what he did with Shinji. However, Shinji and Shunsui have already suspicions in the past and I'm wondering why even Yamamoto was not made aware of evil lurking although Tite mentioned in the flashback arc that SS imprisoned shinigami which they "suspect" as a threat. Man, don't get it at all. Byakuya and Gin or Gin and Hitsugya, those geniuses and prodigys should battle it out. I'm anticipating battle of Urahara vs. Aizen or Aizen vs. Shinji , though biggrin

Aizen gets too much credit, i mean i know he's the mastermind, but for someone who looks like he mastered all, how come he never fights i mean he should technecally be like kenpachi and waste all those guys by his own might and not waste his swords power. But that's just me.

Plus i want to know if these past chapters introduce ichigos dad soon and his back story.
none

My guess is that Aizen isn't much of a swordsman, so he relies on Kido and his Zanpaktou to compensate.

Yeah, but earlier he claimed he reached the limits of swordsmanship, kido, zanpakto and shunpo meaning he should be able to fight with sword too.

Yet to be seen. He is a pompous bastard. Not impossible, though.
