I think I was searching on google and came across this site. I just recently decided to sign up though, wish I did sooner though so it would of been easier to keep track of everything I was reading and what I want to read.

That's why I joined. I knew about this site for quite a while before I became a member. And even longer before I started posting on the forum.

Awesome, same thing as me, although I posted the day I joined. It's so much easier to look at one page to see what has been updated instead of searching one by one.

Through Baka-Updates. I used the site for awhile before I signed up.

I stayed longer because I like to update info. smile And the lists feature is handy.

My parents had sex, about 9 months later I came out. I lived a normal life until I saw Sailor Moon on TV when I was 14. And then I saw Dragonball Z. And then when we were in San Francisco to see doctors about my mom's cancer my paretns took me to JpanTown and I entered Kinokuniya and I bought ym very first tankoubon = Dragonball #20 (it had Gohan on the front). This was when I was... 15? And then I resolved to learn to read Japanese so I could understand what I had just bought. So I studied. And I learned. My parents had AOL (shoot me!) for a good many years and about 6 years ago some fellow saw my AOL profile messaged me and told me about his website, something about toriyama's world (>.>) and I was introduced to scanslating! Fast forward several months and I discovered Snoopy Cool. I hung out, made friends, and decided that I wanted to scanslate. I grabbed people who weren't doing much at the SC forums (except I stole one of Snoopy's editors (bwahahaha)) and formed my own group. Things were peachy. I updated at Jouhou, I updated at daily manga. And then I got an e-mail notifying me that baka-updates was creating a manga site and if I could contribute.....
So I did.
And that's how I found Manga-Updates.

wait! than how did you become one of the people that manage the site?

My friend told me that online manga is faster than the bookstore. She told me this site was good and so I checked it out. It's only that simple. User Posted Image

I blame it on Storm in Heaven, but I think it was just one of those days that I was randomly following Google links.

First came across this site while I was researching for a paper a year ago. Then when I really got into Manga I tried to remember the name and looked for this site again but couldn't find it. Finally came across this site again a few months ago via a link in some forum, complete coincidence but made sure to bookmark it.javascript:insert('biggrin')

I had just discovered manga on the internets! and saw the link on manga wiki. once i had ascertained that i could not get moar nana off of this site, i left, but then later when i was googling other stuff i saw it and realized its true worth. since i have become quite addicted. i would not know what series i'm in the middle of right now if not for this.
