Surprises aside, i don't find this too abrupt imo, since its been dragged out so long, just really sad. The 'insert' song fit it all really well surprisingly, for such an old song. too bad not much else was explained. thoughts?

I agree that the story for School Rumble dragged out too long with all the side characters, but I think this ending feels very rushed. I have a bad feeling that the ending will not answer the question of Harima x Eri/Yakumo.

OR harem ending maybe!?!

Even IF popularity has declined, this kind of lead to an ending is just... unethical...

283 better be a volume's length..

even if the scene is a homage to 20th Century Boys...

Ah, I think most of us saw this kind of ending coming. Here's hoping the anime will have their own take on the ending.

Maybe you're right. Looks like its true that Harima only belonged to himself (chp 6).
