Hello,

It's been years since I've visited this site! I used to be an avid manga reader when I was in middle school/high school. I mainly read shoujo romance stories and now that I'm revisiting some old hobbies, I find that these plots don't hold my attention for very long.

If possible, I'd love to read a more realistic romance. One with obstacles and hardships that couples have to overcome. It'd be great if there were also multiple couples within the story, but it isn't a necessity.

Do you know any titles that you might recommend?

- Thank you,
Liz smile

Hm, as for multiple couples you have Musunde Hiraite (Minase Mayu), which is not really what you call "adult", because it's a high school romance story, but it's definetly worth a look.

As for mature/adult, you have Yoshida Motoi's works such as Natsu no Zenjitsu, and the ongoing Kannou Sensei. There's also Futari no Renai Shoka, which is super sweet, without being too unrealistic. You can also try some of Asano Inio's series like Umibe no Onnanoko, but... be careful with this guy. His series are actually "mature".

First, I would like to second recommendations for Musunde Hiraite (MINASE Mayu) and Natsu no Zenjitsu.

As for my recommendations:

Emma

Haru no Noroi - although it would probably be better to wait till this series is fully scanlated before you start reading. Mostly because the manga is fairly short and wait between releases can be very long.

If you don't mind some sexual content and a supernatural element, then She Is Young would fit your request quite well. It's a really good drama/romance.

If you're fine with something light-hearted, without much drama, then you can try Boku to Watashi no Henai Jijou.

And if you are not opposed to ideas of polygamy and polyamory, then you can try Hare-Kon. Although you should take note that this manga is both mature and realistic. Which means that all characters have flaws and can be annoying sometimes, just like real people are.

For more "mature" romances I'd recommend 3 Level Combination, Aku no Hana, Bitter Virgin, Bonnouji, Heptagon, Hoshi no Furu Machi, Kami-sama ga Uso o Tsuku., Melo Holic, Octave, Sakamichi no Apollon, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, The Great Merchant Kim Manduk, Toshiue no Hito and Usagi Drop.

Good luck finding something to read smile
