Sure, you've got a point. But like I said, why not pick something that no one is doing? There's plenty of manga to go around.

Would you give a damn about courtesy then? Or would you just say 'ah, well...we bought the manga and scanned it...maybe even cleaned the text and started the translation....well...that's too bad for us' ?

They had not released anything for months and we picked up where even there members said they had 'Stalled'. So we picked up something that had NOT been scanned and released in months.

I won't argue on this point since I agree with Kon-san on the fact that it is merely an unspoken rule, and it's not exactly stated. Sure, I understand how pissed off you guys are [both SM and Man-Rev] and they both have their own reasonable views.

It is a sort of courtesy, not an unspoken rule, but courtesy to at least inform groups if you plan to scanlate manga being done by them since as mentioned somewhere, the manga scanlating community isn't like the anime fansub one, where it's a free for all and everyone just works to get released the fastest. That's why in its own way, it becomes just something nice that you do.

Of course, as Kon-san said, why should their group have to give courtesy? Rightfully so. If they want to release a chapter to please the public instead of the group, go ahead. And I applaud them for creating this topic knowing that a lot of SM fans would be flaming them and boycotting them and whatever.

I'm not sure about this forum, but I'm sure there are discussions out there debating on quality versus speed. As for me, I'm a 'quality first' kinda person, and I always remain a true fan for scan groups who spend a lot of time scanlating so even though they might be slower, I'll still wait *cough* null *cough*. If I'm really really desperate then I'll just download the faster one and then delete it after reading, and then wait for the higher quality one to include into my collection. Yeah, I know there are some people out there who don't really give a damn who's scanlating, so they'll just download whichever one's faster. No harm in that, though.

Hope I didn't come off preachy or anything, since I don't really care that LM is being done by Man-Rev. When I first saw the release, I was like 'Uh-huh. Okay, whatever,' since I was going to get my version from SM anyways, so having any group scan it didn't really matter.

Like liquid_hell, I prefer quality over speed, just when I really really need to know or when I'm bored, I'll download the faster release. So why is everyone arguing over such a thing? ShoujoMagic fans can just download LM when it's released, and fans who want to just read can go download the faster release and download the HQ one later.

What's the point in making such a big fuss over this? It's not like you can sue either group for doing a project and getting cash.
So to the staffs of M-R and SM, time to stop all this 'wars' and try to sort this out without trying to diss each other.

To Lemondude, you need to learn manners, because by the way you posted your message clearly shows you're not very polite. You should also ask SM if your group could release MG versions of LM.
To Jojo, everyone knows how great SM is, but you should also learn to tolerate with M-R (they are a new group) since you guys have been here since manga scanlating.

So better patch up soon or this will turn out sour and no one's going to like this.
