So there's a WORST shoujo characters thread (coughmiakacough), how about the best shoujo character/heroine thread?
I'm not asking for your favourite character nor the best shoujo, I'm asking for the shoujo character (in your opinion) that you deem the best. (;
Unless...there's another discussion like this.
But shoujo these days...heroines/bishies can get pretty repetitive but there are still some (hopefully) that shines above the rest.
Anyways, I'm quite fond of Ishtar from Vampire Game. She's so lovely. x)

I love her too, 'cause she's not your typical princess. Her joke about vaseline still makes me laugh. 
Anyway I usually don't like the main heroine in shoujo, I often prefer secondary characters (example Rin Shoma (one of my fav) > Tohru Honda in Furuba).

Yup.... she owns!!.... but it's not hard considering the fact that the 4 guys she lives with are glam rock pansies.... But I still love it when she goes berserk on them for stealing their food or "shining" too much.

Haruhi Ouran High School Host Club -how is she not already listed? the deadpan is awesome, but balanced nicely with her romantic cluelessness/innocence
and actually, just picked up Hana Yori Dango and had expected to hate it and was pleasantly surprised by the heroine Tsukushi. She can be annoying at lots of parts, but reads pretty true, though occasionally too sparkly
oh and Nodame Nodame Cantabile 'cause she's zany and awesome and really cares about her music

Agree, Koizumi Risa is the best! Ordinary but not the same. =)
I think she is one of the most appropriate characters of all shoujos.

i 2nd Nodame.... and Risa too, she was nice.....
also Momo from Peach Girl she was pretty dope too....made some bad decisions here and there, but nothing unforgivable and Sumire from Kimi wa Petto she's dope too...

I also like Yvienne from Ciel and Odette from Karakuri Odette.
