Meh, it was alright. I hate open endings like that though, I just want to know what the hell's gonna happen. I doubt there will be a sequel or continuation.

It was...sweet. The last page saddened me though...how they both feel like they don't seserve to be with each other ;_; Oh yeah, is it me or it felt a little rushed?
Anyways, it was one helluva rollercoaster ride with this series (I don't think I've ever cried while reading a manga as much as I have with this) I wish it could've went on for longer but oh well. Looking forward to the next series! biggrin

I didn't think it was very rushed, and in fact I think it was perfect. I highly doubt the author intended for the readers to think they would ever break up. That was the whole point of having the last lines of the manga be them saying "the other person will find someone better...but until then...". Basically even though they might not know it, they ended up being perfect for each other, since they probably never will find someone better ^^.

Also, I'm extra happy because now that this is over Girls Saurus DX will be getting a ton more updates (that manga is the polar opposite of this one when it comes to mood). biggrin

Personally, I liked the ending of Bitter Virgin... it was a more realistic ending that seemed to fit the manga.. and as others have said, the main kicking point was that each one of them thought the other one was going to get someone better, so if so choose, you can easily assume that they do stay do stay together after realizing that their own insecurities about themselves toward the other was false over time.

I will agree that the 4th volume did seem a little rushed compared to other volumes and maybe could have stretched to 1 or 2 more volume but it was not enough distract from the overall quality of the manga itself, which in itself was pretty good.

Quote from Gari
I'd have to agree that the final volume really dropped off in quality. Nonetheless, I was pretty satisfied by the ending. I have seen much worse. And as far as the alluding to their future break-up, well, nobody can predict the future. I think it was a way to deal with some unresolved loose ends that could never have been managed without making the manga really feel rushed. It was better than just pretending that those issues didn't exist.

I agree that some of the last chapters felt rushed and even out of place with how the story had been up until that point, but I am not sure what people would have wanted. Did they expect them to get married, find her son and live happly ever after? I think an ending like that would have been infinatly worse then this ending.

I'm not gunna lie... normally I despise open ended endings... however... this manga in itself wasn't the norm for me... The entire thing was different from what I read... I liked the ending... I will always prefer closure. But I'm not angry about this ending at all.

i DO NOT like what the ending implies .. it talks like
they r going to split in the future
and that really pissed me off ... There
was so much crying in the end (wich isn't bad)
i just thought some parts were overly used ....
I don't mind that they didn't expand on there relationship
im just mad the mangaka set them up 4 spliting up

the ending came pretty fast & all they did was hold hands.

i doubt his stalker is going to let them live happily ever after.

hello ;)
well i love this manga and i think that they still can be together:

realy i think at the end Suwa-kun asks himself if he can become mature enough for Aikawa ;)
and Hinako ask herself is She can be cheerful to be one suited for Daisuke ^_^

thats my way of understading Bitter Virgin ending smile

Peace \o/

PS. maybe author of BV had some real life problems :< and that made this manga to end so fast :X

I'm actually quite satisfied with the ending. The uncertain future of the two certainly suited the story. Frankly I found that better than if they had had a cliche ending that finished with some sappy confession of eternal love or worse... it had ended in marriage. roll eyes . For me that would have left a good story on a totally sucky note.

I don't mind the ending but I just found it a little depressing what I wanted to see in the end was some hope not that they'd break up in the future anyway. However honestly I think my thinking on that is my own fault anyway as the manga was always about kids in very adult themes and that continues all the through the end including the eventual breaking up, simply put I really agree that a relationship like that most likely won't last but still it would've been nice to have a really hopeful ending instead of a realistic one.

I've been reading Bitter Virgin like every update!!! For some reason it took me awhile to finally read the ending. lol now i know why. I finished it up yesterday and boy was i upset. She was going to tell her secret and then when she found out he already knew and still accepted her she wanted to run away. THEN they get together and everyone is like they have to break-up at sometime. That was a very gay ending. What does her having a baby have to do with them "having to break up" in the future! Didn't he already accept that? To many cliffhangers in a manga that we all know will not have a sequel. dead

although it wasnt to my preferences, it wasnt bad
it was a bit un-inspiring, sorta, not really, i dont know how to describe it, like a bit too realistic
