I basically only read seinen nowadays. Most of the series are pretty grimdark with blood, psychological drama, and sometimes some genderbending.

It's funny, because originally I only read shoujo and yaoi, and now I read mostly seinen, including all the ecchi series. How does this happen? I'm not sure.

I read shounen and seinen manga. I usually read anything that interests me in those two demographics, but if I had to pick, my favorites would be action, psychological, and [some] romance.

Yaoi, of course! biggrin
It's kinda funny how I grew up reading shoujo, but stopped reading them when I discovered yaoi... laugh

Nearly anything beside SHOUJO, yuri, hentai, harem and ecchi.

I can stand ecchi and shoujo ai to certain degree tho... but extreme adult action will make me vomit. hoek.

I'm able to swallow everything, gore, mystery, yaoi, shonen ai, romance, adventure, fantasy, josei, whatever.

Hmm.. favorite: Action + Adventure + Fantasy + tiny bit of romance (no harem, k?)

My best would be like Berserk, Gantz, Vagabond... biggrin

And I love historical series too... Vinland Saga is great biggrin

But but... most favorite is not the most often read... the most often read manga crown will go to yaoi genre due to lack of seinen/shonen chapter update XD

Mostly seinen. Some shounen-ai. Serious stories with serious relationships, maybe with a little bit of dark humor thrown in. Violence and death are fundamental part of life, so I tend to like stories that focus on these topics.

I can't stand ecchi harem/reverse harem stuff, or smut for the sake of smut. Silly high school romances just seem too irrelevant (though I'll admit Hana Kimi has lots of fun bits).

Hmm, I do tend to like checking out all the new gender benders. Probably because I've always been a very straight female who just happened to like martial arts, nice cars, action flicks, and was always mistaken for a boy.

I usually read any genre because I'm open minded, but I refuse to read anything with yaoi or shounen ai in it.

But one that I going to be quitting soon is harem. I know that other genres have stories that may seem akin to another story in the same genre, but every harem story IS LITERALLY THE EXACT SAME STORY. The only difference is how the characters look and even then most of them look alike.

EDIT: Just read Mai-Chan's Daily Life, so I guess the guro part is off since I read one after all.

Come to think of it... I don't have any distinct preferences. A complex story of almost any descriptive genre can have a range of variety themes attributed to it. In one sense, I am keen on historical and mystery fiction; but, as a matter of fact, I appreciate any proper series, dealing with human problems and sentiments, so for character-driven manga my choice would be slice of life.

Mine most likely are Romantic Comedies (I rarely read those two genres seperately, therefore I put the two of them together biggrin ) Ecchi is just a bonus if its included wink blame my perverted mind xD and action is a good twist bigrazz

Well...for me...yaoi and shounen-ai. xD The storyline has to intrigue my taste and also the art.
I also like shounen and shoujo.
