im lookin for manga based on another source. i don't mean those 2 volumes-long manga that all anime, books, and games have, i want to see something with more effort
something like: Vagabond, based on the novel musashi (which was based on a true story, if im not mistaken)
Pokemon Special, obviously based on the games
and Shingetsutan Tsukihime, based on the visual novel

All of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's games have 2+ volume manga adaptations. They're all part of the same story, so all together it's at least 16 volumes, I think.

Houshin Engi, based on Chinese literature Fengshen Yanyi, which based on history of the transition from Yin Dynasty to Zhou Dynasty.
Shana oh Yoshitsune, based on Heike Monogatari and Minamoto no Yoshitsune's life in particular.
