Aw, darn it. I forgot all about it, no gleeful paranoia for me. cry
Not that anything superstitious-tastic happened today either. Must have been that dam rabbits-foot on my backpack.

Here's some Japanese bad luck: http://mothra.rerf.or.jp/ENG/Hiroshima/Things/68.html

6 is probably from 666 or "the number of the beast" from revelations/aka the back of the bible. The rest of em' don't make a bit-of-sense to me, but I'm sure google knows... don't look at me, I'm too lazy to look.

Well, i don't really believe in the whole bad luck thing, or even Friday the 13th, but 3 years ago i dislocated one of my toe while playing soccer. Now when i say dislocated, i mean my toe literally came off and it was hanging by the skin. It didnt hurt though...and i didnt even know it was friday the 13th until i was sent to the hospital. >_>

non-sense... If I count the number of years of bad luck I'm supposed to have because of broken mirrors... I'm never going to ever see a lucky day in my life.
Oh and rabbit foots don't seem to be lucky, at least not to the rabbit who used to have 4 of them and yet he still got killed for them... I won't call that a lucky charm if I where a rabbit.
And black cats? I raised a black cat for 11 years... cutest and smartest cat ever, (some of my friends avoided her though).
So no, I think that all superstition are ridiculous. And I don't ever remember having suffered from unusual bad luck (or good luck) on any special day, or because of any special Item.

That's comepletely right stealth. I haven't had anything bad happen to me on friday 13th in 19 years. As for charms and wards, guess my parents have some superstitions but it is all baloney if you ask me. Just another way for the filthy powers that be to sell their commercial junk to the filthy, stupid, ignorant masses. eyes By the way I changed my mind, I will let you rule the world and I'll be number two as long as I get first choice of women. I only want one really amazing one. none

What made you suddenly change your mind? I don't think it has anything to do with my beliefs (or disbeliefs) in superstition?
Anyway, if a women is all you want that shouldn't be a problem. I don't really care about women. (Well not really, but world conquest comes first) And as a future ruler of the world, women might be my most dangerous enemy...

I don't really believe in superstitions, but they're fun to read about - monsters, spells, and the like.
I definitely don't believe in the black cat thing, same as Stealth. Actually I haven't owned a black cat (they are all black and white) but have known numerous working in the shelter and as a vet assistant. No different than any other cat. I would think being black (or grey tiger) would be advantagous in the wild since those colors seem to blend in with the environment well. Incidentally, I read somewheres that white cats were coveted at one point as mousers for flour mills. I guess black cats being bad luck stemmed from their color and from medieval european times when all cats were thought of as creatures of the Devil and killed and tortured. Its really sad, at the animal shelter I worked at, the black cats seemed to be overlooked the most. We even ran a special on them. Seems many people went for the small bright colored kittens the most, even if the black ones were sweeter. (Sometimes I think people just want a cute interactive stuffed toy and not a living thing you actually have to be responsible for, poop, training and all)
Anyways, I do have to admit it seemed like, when I was little, if I opened an umbrella in the house, within two weeks the umbrella was lost or damaged. Bad luck for the umbrella - not me! biggrin
Oh, and nothing particular has ever happened to me on a Friday the 13th.

You are a guy right? Oh and I have one more demand. Well of course I'll be able to get anything I want but apart from that I want to put all the mangaka in a city with everything they need and all the staff they want and have them keep doing mangas but there's 3 twists:

1. Weekly mangas will remain on a weekly basis but the chapter sizes will double. Monthly mangas will have their staff tripled and they will produce a chapter every three days or three times a week (sunday wednesday and Saturday).Mwahahahaha

2. Before all manga is released to the few humans left it must be read by me and then sent for printing and publishing.

3. If there is any manga that I am totally in love with and feel a connection to and I get that felling where you wish you could keep something just to yourself, I will just read the manga as it comes in and never send it for publishing. So it will be read by only me (and the makers but they don't count since they barely have time in their sweatshop city). laugh mwahahahahahahahahah. *puts pinky to side of mouth as he laughs

That's just it, you've just had bad luck for so long you don't know what it is like to have good luck. You're having bad luck and you don't even know it. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Everything is like that, if it isn't, it is not being utilized to its full potential. But really, it is easy is discount this stuff as nonsense, but what is the fun in that; if no one believes in this stuff than it is just going to fade away...

(even if black cats are bad luck, it is a fair trade smile )

yes yes....jeez...you people didn't have to opposed superstitous stuff that fervently roll eyes ...i don't generally believe in superstitous, or believe in my zodiac sign reading that easily (those are just pure crap).....people tend to make up stuff for things they can't explain....different views and opinions furthermore support the opposing views about superstitous...such as in egypt, where i believe the black cat was supposed to be some kind of god...

it was opening night for my high schools' musical, and everyone said someone would get hrt or something, but surprisingly nothing bad happened that entire day...so that's a good thing in general...but i've honestly never really believed in that kinda stuff...just pure coincidence. ^.^

friday the 13th came from the day the Mason's were massacared. The church didn't like them so had them wacked, and the bad luck thing is kinda supposed to be their curse.

As for outright specific superstitions, I don't generally believe in them, none the less I can't help but have them in mind when something related crosses my path. Doesnt mean I didn't love Mr. Black ( my all black kitty who got stained orange by chlorine from laying on the side of the pool), but I definately avoid walking under ladders and saying bad things. Just in case.
