...I'd prefer shounen, ecchi and comedy. Also somewhat recent anime, something from year 2000 up to now. And romcom shojou would be ok, so long as its rotflol funny.
And something with exelent anime potential like Mx0 would be good, but it has to be shounen.

It's not shounen or ecchi, but Mushishi is the best manga to anime adaptation I've seen.... another good one is Gunslinger Girl.
Kurenai has a manga as well, but it was originally a light novel.... anime is the best, in my opinion.
ToraDora is getting an anime adaptation in the coming weeks.
If you strictly want something generic and shallow, probably to Love-ru... I don't go anywhere near it, but I think it seems to fit what you're asking for.

If you liked Zero no Tsukaima, you'll probably enjoy Shakugan no Shana as well, similar premise, same voice actors.
No mention of Fullmetal Alchemist? Odd. Anyway, you've probably seen/read it, but if you haven't pick it up.
