What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

So, let's say you are out of food, for example, cookies.
You can buy the cookies, or you can buy a manga.
You want both. You're hungry, and you want to have that manga.
What would it be?

I would actually preffer to buy a book. laugh
Because I love to read and I can last without food.~.~

However, if I couldn't read manga online, It would really depend if the cookies were soft, chocolate chip and warm or not, and if the manga was one of my favorites or not.

Just because its licensed doesn't always mean its not on the net

Gantz has been licensed by Dark Horse and we still get it every two weeks.

I picked Food, because i am fat and would never pick reading over eating.

...depends on whether or not I need the food?

If we're talking about something unnecessary like cookies (which are nice to have every once in awhile but not vital to my survival) then I'll usually pick something I can keep permanently over it. But if we're talking everyday groceries or whatever, then food gets precedence.

Perhaps I'm going about this too logically?

if the manga was available online, then i'd go for the cookies. however...........
if suddenly the internet crashed, id buy manga. in the end, if i was dying of starvation, after reading i 'd eat the book eyes
