I need to do an informative speech for my basic public speaking class, and since I need to do a portfolio piece for English IV, I thought I would kill two goombas with one shell. I was thinking of doing it on manga, but I'm really bad at coming up with ideas, and if I do come up with an idea, then I can never find a good source of information on it. So, any ideas/sources I could use?
All I can remember about the guide lines is that it needs to be about 5-7 minutes long, and that's pretty much all I was given.

-How much time do you have left? The sources I know of are books, and not websites, so you'd need time to procure/read them.
-Guidelines? Even if you say "informative" that doesn't really give us any idea of what it's supposed to be. Are you just supposed to give a general educational speech? If so, it's pretty easy to just pick "history of manga" or something similarly generic as a topic and go from there.

It should be a typo...

It's also been a while since chem for me, but I don't think it can be balanced either.
On the left side, you have HNO-3 and the right you have NO and AgNO-3. That just doesn't work no matter what numbers you put in front of them. You're missing some Oxygen atoms on the right side no matter what you do. The math doesn't work out.
EDIT:
Basically, what I mean is that you should always have 3 times as many Oxygen atoms as Nitrogen atoms, but given what you put on the right side, that's impossible to do.

From what I remember, it told us what the products were: Hydrogen gas, brown NO, and Silver Nitrate.

Call me crazy (I make no claim of retaining anything from Chem), but I agree it's unsolvable.
You're missing an H on the left and an O on the right, but can't balance that out w/o throwing Ag or NO3 outa whack. You need an extra NO somewhere to get it to work.
As close as I was able to get with my meager skills was:
2Ag + 2HNO-3 --> H-2, NO, 2AgNO-3
...which has an imbalance of Nitric Oxide.

I got:
1 Ag + 2 H(NO)₃ = 1 H₂ + 3NO + 1 Ag(NO)₃
It works with the atomic mass, giving me 290u on each side.

It's going to be a oxidation-reduction (aka redox) reaction, just by looking at the oxidation states and the fact that your having solid silver become an aqueous silver ion, and an aqueous hydrogen ion (from the nitric acid) become hydrogen gas. You can't balance it by itself as you'll probably need water involved (the AgNO3 is dissolved in water after all, being aqueous and all). It's probable the formula is wrong, as NO (nitrogen monoxide) is a colorless gas according to wikipedia... If this was supposed to be a simple balancing problem and not a redox reaction, then I honestly wouldn't worry about it until redox is covered in your class (if it is covered at all).
