XD! I found Japanese raws of volumes 4-10, 16 on Esthetique's forum. Don't know if they're good or not since I didn't download them.

It's not that it's complicated, but it's a little more easier to manage imo. But if you don't wanna do whole chapters at a time that's fine. Lol, and I think here's where I stop contradicting everything (or at least try to )

There are torrents for 1-13 and 14 and 15 as well also saw one for 17 but don't know if that's real or not. Delta Anime torrents. They may be dead though. Probably find it in irc.

The torrents will probably be dead, it's better do direct download if available, but ivory_shoes is providing the raw scans seeing that she has up to volume 16 already. But if you guys have from volume 10 up, i think it would be a good idea if we compare the quality. But it would be a waste seeing that ivory has scanned the volumes herself, i think its better to use hers neh?

@Luisalirio84, ill clean chapter by chapter and send it to you guys, because im scared that the chapters would be unevenly contrasted and sized from one another with different people doing different chapters, and it might get a bit confusing. You can work with liquid_hell to do the editing, so you dont have to do it by yourself, how does that sound?

Hmm now I sound like a lazy slacker. Fine fine We'll work individually on different chapters. I see no reason why we shouldn't use whichever raw is better quality. Also if I find a better free ftp I'll transfer the files there once the fing french telecom gets their act together and find the fault in the americas II cable. How can they allow an entire continent to have a faulty connection for 4 damn days. Fix it already you lamers I can't even download father than 13KB right now. And bittorent and irc don't work.

Back on topic. If the scans we have for volumes 9 and 10 are better we should use those Of course ivory will still need to translate from the indonesian ones. So We'll each clean an individual chapter. Just cleaning since i'll be out of school takes me roughly six hours if I don't take breaks and eat my food through a straw. So chueisha, me , x91 and liquid hell. That= fast releases once everyone gets the hang of it chueisha has experience. Oh right you needed that software right? I'll send you a copy of photoshop cs3 lite it's only 47 mb. And it's cool. Hmm I'm wondering if two typesetters are enough So since Chueisha can do both i'll do both as well that way I can stamp my name across the credits page and bringing me a little bit closer to world domination. Mwahahahaha.

If you need another proof reader I'd help. I don't have any other useful skills for this but if it frees up one of the other proofreaders to work with editing or typesetting that could be useful.

i like your previous idea, we'll all work on the same chapters. Order of translating/scanlating (ivory_shoes) who will send the raws to the cleaner- cropping etc.(x91-me) anyone else want to help me out on this? then i'll send the cropped copies to the editors (luisalirio and liquid_hell) to edit together or individually.

If individually then i'll send the even numbered chapters to luisalirio and odd numbered chapters to liquid_hell. The proofreaders (jjacobs and Ranmaru) will proofread the translations while we are doing this. Then the edited/cleaned raws and proofread translations will be sent to the typesetters (phanzanu and Chuisha) who can work individually or together . Then finally the copies will be sent to me and luislario to QC. We are not going to rush this. Quality over time What do you guys think? one chapter or two chapters at a time?

ps. it wont be an easy task for some people, so it might be a good idea to do a chapter at a time, then later on we can forward to doing two chaps at a time when things get easier to understand and get used to. And plus, if we work 1 chapter at a time, there are going to be two editors, proofers and typesetters on each and you guys can help each other out while doing it rosilyn can help me clean then

Thank you x91. Your plan sounds good. It's really hard to say whether it's better to do 1 or 2 at a time until we know how long the translations take.
Please call me Josh, I never intended for jjacobs2 to be used in a discussion forum when I made the nick. Are we allowed to discuss plans in here or do we need to find an alternate method of communication?

I think we should go for x91's plan where x91 does the cleaning while both luisalirio and me would redraw and clone (*groans* hopefully my redrawing skills are up to par). Maybe we should first both edit one chapter together (luisalirio and liquid_hell) and when we're more used to the schedule and things become more efficient, move on to individual chapters each. We could take up maybe 1-2 weeks for both cleaning and typesetting (I don't see why typesetting should take a lot of time, it is just inserting text).

As for scan quality, if the Japanese raws are of higher quality I don't see why we shouldn't use it for editing. Ivory_shoes could just use her Indonesian copy for translation purposes (assuming the Indonesian scans aren't better than the Japanese ones) The only thing is, we currently have one translator (ivory_shoes) so it might take some time unless she overworks herself to death.

@jjacobs/josh Well, we don't exactly have a website/forum so this is the only place to go right now. Besides, no one has really kicked us out yet

Wooh. Long time no post. I got myself banned from using any PC in the house (summer break here). Man, do you guys check the forums everyday or what? I've been doing that up until the other day, and there's still no new posts. But when I stopped checking, POOF, there appears all of 'em. I mean, wth?

As for the chapter by chapter things, I don't really think that it's hard to typeset. It's just a long job 'cause there's so many pages and there's so many text and styles and blah blah. It's easier than cleaning, imo. Plus, even though the typesetters may have talked about a certain "style" that we're going to use, the pages may look inconsistent because of the different people working on a single chapter. I think it's better if there's one typesetter for each chapter. The first chapter may be a collaboration, but that's only going to be so that we can go and get a "feel" of how we're going to make it look, as well as getting to know what fonts we need to use.

We need to summarize things, people! I think the cleaners need to make a flowchart of sorts of how things are gonna work out (it strains my eyes reading through your posts... ).

About FTP, uhm.... how... exactly does that work?

@phanzanu It's not very hard. Just download filezilla and input the server specs and login info and poof. Don't worry someone'll show you. I can't right now I shouldn't even be typing this right now. We'll get a forum and a site once a few chapters come out or if I feel in the mood before then.

Hmm I still think we are probably wasting our resources working like this. I originally said page by page cause there were only two cleaners + x_91(cropping and rotating). Now that we have three it would be better to spread out since both chueisha and I do typesetting and editing. But maybe for the first few chapters this would be okay.

Heres my way of thinking only one typesetter right now and two full editors and a cleaner and a cropper/rotator(sorrry I couldn't find other names). So we do the first chapter together: X91 takes the first chapter and rotates and crops the pages possibly levels? then divides it into 3 parts and puts it in a different folder for each of us on the ftp. Me, liquid and chueisha then take our assigned pages and completely prepare them for type setting then liquid uploads his finished pages into phanzanu's folder. Ivory does the translation and ranmaru, me and Josh proof it and once we have a script each typesetter gets a copy. So phanzanu works on the pages from liquid and me and chuiesha do our own pages. Then we all upload finished pages into qc folder and x91 and I qc them and fix errors. Let's see how fast this method is before we move on to individual chapters. But it would work the same way but instead of dividing a chapter in 3 everyone gets their own chapter.
