Thanks so much for all the recommended series.

I agree with Chueisha (sp?) about wind/tears - bishounen but so boring.

I forgot about Code Geass, as I am still watching that one, and the fangirl in me is really liking Koutetsu Sangokushi! ^_^ But right now I'm doing a Mushishi marathon since I somehow missed this super amazing series. The background animation is so beautiful.

I also dl'd Lucky Star and Romeo + Juliet, so I hope they're good, too.

Besides Elfen Lied, which totally blew me away - I never cried so hard at an anime in my life - are there any newly completed series that are absolute must see's?

Post 'em up if you can think of any more.
XOXOXOXO

newly completed, eh?

hahah i really really enjoyed ouran high school host club. ^_^

...it tricked me in so many ways... haha even though i was a bit uncomfortable with the uhhh... what's it called? moe? hahahah... xP

it's an absolute must see.

hahah... i just downloaded like, 4 eps of shining tears.. oh jeez. i watched it.. and couldn't bear it. haha... in my opinion, i think it was done horribly... although the art wasn't bad... the plot just... meeeh... i deleted them now. bigrazz

mmm... yes, elfen lied was... quite graphic.. but very nice.
if you liked elfen lied... maybe you'll love blood+... code geass was good, too... although, i hated the cliffhanger.

uhmm.. what else did i enjoy recently...? ah my goddess, maybe? mmm.. can't think of any more that are especially good. smile

That was an awesome series. I really need to finish reading the manga.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu was awesome. If you haven't seen that one, you should check it out.

I'm keeping up to date mainly on:

Lucky Stars - very light-hearted and airheaded, great anime to watch when feelin down

Sola - Awsome new anime.... and so moe sometimes....

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi - Reminds me a bit of Tenjou Tenge for some reason, without the crappy main character. good anime too.

Hayate no Gotoku - comon.... most people know this already...

I'm also watching/finishing/catching up on:

Sumomomo Momomo - on episode about 13

Ghost Hunt - very freaky at times, great characters, even Higurashi didn't freak me out quite as much

Paranoia Agent - about to start

I know right. Mushishi was my fourth anime I ever watched and the backgroung quality blew my mind. Sorry but naruto and bleach just can't compare. I also love the episodic nature and I was sad when it ended sad Oh and I don't know why but I love the intro song. It's in english and the only other op in english that I like is the op from gankutsuo (amazing animation completely unique) and I love how at the end of gankutsuo the op was used in the final scenes to build it to a crescendo finale. Oh and the scene when albert hears her playing the song in the church and runs towards it. Classic. Don't make me relive elfen lied again. Beatifully sad. sad

I just checked out sola. WHAT the hell is going on with the guy's HUGE head? Well I didn't enjoy it, off my pc NOW!

My ongoing are:

Darker Than Black - (My favorite ongoing right now)
Heroic Age - (I like it)
Tenggen Toppa Gurren-Laggan - (I thought it looked stupid, its alright...)
Shining Tears x Wind - (Passes time, nothing amazing to me)
Claymore - (I want to watch this before I read the manga, great anime though)
Code Geass - (Decent, I like how the main character shows no mercy!!!)

Really!?

Hahha... I just watched episodes 2-4 of sola this morning... and I found it absolutely awesome. ^_^;; esp when there's this awkwardness with the guy hiding the girl in his house... and having his female friend discover that. hahah

oh.. and to heardtheowl, I've watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. ^_^ very awesome show. Hahah... I'm actually reading the translated novels right now on baka-tsuki. smile

in my opinion, it's much better to watch the anime without reading the novels... the achronological episodes have a certain beauty to them... smile

I tried Haruhi..

1st episode just made me say "WTF, am I watching"

Gave the 2nd episode a try... not my kinda anime

Well I do prefer darker, more action filled anime like hellsing and elfen lied.

Hahahah... I gave up on the first episode, too... I was like, wtf... this can't be right...

But, since I downloaded the whole series... I was like, ugh. I guess I'll watch some more of it... so I skipped to the 2nd episode... then after a few episodes, I was like, wtf! The subbing groups can't put these episodes in order?!

Hahah... so after so much frustration, I was about to trash it... until.. one episode... where I completely fell in love with the anime. Haha... it actually is a bit dark after a while... not as bloody as Elfen Lied, though.. hhaha
