I don't whats happening, but I'm not really into manga at all lately. I want to pick it up and read; but when I go to I fell as if it would be a waste of good manga. As I would not really enjoy it much. I need a manga to get me into the fandom all over again.

Action and drama are pig pluses. Smaller casts are what I prefer, gives you more of a connection to the characters. Romance if it's not too standard. Actually romance that surprises and keeps you guessing is really good. Gender is fine as long as it's not pivotal or the character isn't "into" it.

Oh and these aren't needs. Getting back into manga shouldn't really have stipulations.

It's sorta hard to recommend some for you, because I don't exactly know what you're looking for. A short manga? or long? shounen/seinen or shoujo/josei? what kinda characters are you looking for? badass or nice/"good" character? a more general or unique plot? romance, action, drama...too many mangas fit those to list. Anyways, from your wish list I would just go through it and pick the ones with good reviews/that interest you, since I looked through it, and theres too way too many of the ones I liked to list.

Here's my general list of decent manga most people would enjoy, it's more general so you won't find something unique here:

Beck-some romance, lots of drama, about trying to be best rock band
Claymore-action
UnbalanceƗ2-manhwa but has the romance/drama/action you're looking for
Code:Breaker and Samurai Deeper Kyo- both from same author, action, some romance
Gantz- don't read it if you don't like gore...but lots of action =]
Highschool of the Dead-action+romance+good group of characters
Ga-rei- action+ romance
Slam Dunk- if it's about sports, this is one of the best
Shaman King- another typical shounen but still interesting...love the main character+ his fiancee =]
Death Note
Hellsing
Fairy Tail
Ares- manhwa but good if you like action
Katekyo Hitman Reborn- just read the first few chapters, then skip to chapter 60 I think so you don't have to read the stupid daily-life arc[completely irrelevent to the main story, because I just couldn't get past that, I spend half a year reading 1 or 2 chapters every few days until I got past it and it got into the fighting/action part], but it's a fairly typical shounen action manga, so it's not the best...
Black Cat

Seriously, this list was made in about 2 min of thinking of some general[meaning if it was presented to a random audience, most of them would like it] manga I can think of, so all of these aren't the greatest, but all of them are at least decent. There's about a 100 more, but I'll try to help you again when you post more specific tastes.

Hmm, well you should really read some of the stuff on your wish list. Some great titles there,

Shin Angyo Onshi can not be recommended enough. Its got lots of action and drama (and some sad romance), and great characters that you can definitely sympathize with. This would be the best way for you to go in my opinion.

Besides that, I can't not recommend Claymore, my favorite manga. A very impressive action series.

Girl Friends is a very cute romantic story. I wouldn't call it typical either.

Himegami is really worth reading as well. It's got action, romance, and fun characters.

Gantz is a good manga. Fast paced and addicting.

Go with one of those five and you'll likely be happy with it.

Read yotsubato! even if you've read it again.
YKK is always just amazing. No action though, sorry. But it made me feel gratefull that there's manga in the world...
Those 2 do their job in making appreciate manga all over. laugh

For action, read ichi the killer... And the mangaka's other work
Homunculus.

You can read GTO if you haven't~

GTO's fine without it, and Shounan Junaigumi isn't completely scanned anyway.

It's probably a good choice if you haven't read it yet.

If you read GTO first and enjoyed it, then you can read that. I wouldn't really recommend Shounan Junaigumi to read before GTO, since it's tone and plot of story is different. Plus it's not even fully scanlated, only 1/3 I think. It may be a prequel, but it doesn't need to be read to enjoy GTO. Go GTO first, and if you want more of that, then read Shounan Junaigumi!.
