It would be nice if some people could tell their reasons for their choice and how they are acting while reciving such presents.

Put it somewhere after accepting it.

Or if its worth a bit of money and i don't care for the person that gave it, i sell it, since i would never sell a gift from a close friend/family, i would only sell it if i didn't like em.

>_> Put it somewhere and forget about it. It'd be kinda rude to give it back...and if I don't like it, who'd want to buy it?

My, that's a bit of a selfish view...

I usually find a way to use the present to my advantage. It'd be rude to just let it sit around and waste away unused. If I can't use it, I donate it to the goodwill. Everything I own ends up there eventually anyways.

Depends on the present, but I *always* accept nicely!

If it's something I know someone else would like, I give it to them (discreetly, so the original giver won't get his/her feelings hurt).

If it's something valuable but I don't know someone who would like it, I might sell it on eBay or something (don't think this has ever happened to me, though...)

If it's something I kind of like but don't have a use for, I'll keep it around for a while & then give it to goodwill or something. Sometimes I end up using/liking things that didn't originally seem useful. eyes

I'll accept it but I probably may not use it.

It's someone's present after all even if I have absolutely no interest in the present. They put the effort in getting them for me, instead of nothing at all. I rarely buy anything for anyone because I just don't know what to get them. Therefore if someone gives me, for example, a piggy bank for some reason. I'll probably still have it sitting somewhere on my table 5 years from now, just because it's a present.

From a personal experience, a friend had offered to trade a present I got from my aunt for something else but I refused because it was given to me. I didn't buy it myself.

I chose "give it to someone else", and by that I mean donate it to Goodwill or some other non-profit thrift store that lets you dump your unwanted stuff at their doorstep. But I suppose that if it was something really nice that I didn't really want, I would either give it to another person or try and re-sell it.

I'll accept the gift and try to make use of it. If I can't and it's clear that some thought was put into the gift then I'll still keep it. It would be rude if I didn't.

I accept it, it's usually clothes, so I don't really have trouble with that.

This

A Re-gift is one of the rudest things to do.
