because i cant seem to find any good fansites or irc chats for this great story, ive decided to ask you, what do others feel about this story? did it make you cry, laugh, sad, etc? this is a thread to discuss one of my favorite mangas, a story I wont soon forget. maybe its just cuz im a guy who like manga, but i wish this story could come true.

i have read this manga...i thought it was a good manga, i liked it even tho i got pissed at the main guy character and also some of the things were too wishy-washy...but i still liked it. also it made me laugh alot but also sad like near the end and stuff. anyways i liked it, its a good manga, ppl shold read it if they didnt.

true, there were moments where i was like, omg youta come on, if it was me id never had made that mistake, maybe thats just cuz im not as pure hearted as he was  lol, but i was drawn to Ai more than any other girl in the series.

lol yea me too lol u kno....but at first Ai looked kinda weird or somethin but later on she looked good and i liked her more and more...youta is stupid, well thts wat i thought when i saw him doin stupid things...like breakin up wit tht gurl for no reason and also being too and i mean tooo indecisive.

i think its just the artists style improved over the years as the manga progressed, i too noticed the diff from vol 1 to the end in the designs and skill. love the character designs tho, ugh, i wish video girls were real, what i wouldnt give to be in Youta's position.

Because of this story I went up and read more titles from the mangaka like I's and Zetman and man imo I think he can write very good stories

true that....from him ive read Video Girl Ai, DNA^2, I"s, but i havent read Zetman or Shadow Lady, which i heard was cancelled thus not really as complete as it could be. i love his artwork, and i wish i could email him or something. its just that some of his stories have sad endings, which im not a fan of, so i love it when it has a happy ending.

I love this series. Video Girl Ai was one of the first manga series I have ever read. But it's been a while since I've read it, so I should probably reread it when I have time.
The ending was really sad. I really liked it how the protagonist's life wasn't the same (like when the editor noticed a difference in his books). Ai was a special part of his life even though she wasn't human.

Video Girl Ai...I didn't really enjoy this series, truthfully I don't remember much about it because it was a long time ago I finished it, but I think it was that story about the video girl coming out of a video tape and boom, stuff happens to the main boy. It was just a handful of unnecessary drama to keep the story going[but aren't almost all shounen harem's like that lol]. I liked I's[and Zetman] from the same mangaka more than Video Girl Ai.

even tho the ending was kinda sad, it all works out as a couple months later Youta and Ai are reunited. it would suck since they went from february to april b4 she came back, that would be a long time to wait..but worth it

That was a while ago... maybe 6 months, but I still remember it... at that time I liked it, and I still do, but I have read better ones in the last few months

i read it first prob a year or so ago, just reread it yesterday and i must say it evoked the same feelings now as it did then. now thats TRUE POWAH! lol
on another note, DOES anyone know of any good fansites or IRC chats for this series? i know its rather old, so many of the sites arent kept up well, but the search continues!
