Well I figured since we were burning the midnight oil. We might as well bring out the old truth or dare questions. Heh so mine would be that I nearly beat this guy to death cause he called my sister a whore. That was about 5 years ago and I probably regret it most of all cause it was the one time I ever lost my cool and got physical. I was lucky noting too serious became of the incident but it was by far the stupidest thing I've ever done. Hmm not that dark but a well guarded secret. Oh well you have to make some mistakes in order to learn from them and become better.

Hmm... Fear I guess my deepest fear is that I won't achieve my goals and end up being just another under achiever. That's why you have to break your neck to make sure that doesn't happen to you. But the sad reality of this world is that only few achieve their dreams the rest suffer in dismay or others just literally suffer like the millions of people dying every day who don't even have the luxury of having aspirations but just have to struggle to make it alive one more day.

Oh well maybe my answers turned out too serious. This should be a fun topic so go ahead and post all your zany fears and secrets. Geez now I'm depressed.

Oh If you're wondering why this is in the adult section it's cause i realize that some people may have some not so pg-13 secrets. Also please don't tell us your secret is you're the real unibomber or something grave along those line. Please spare us. If you have those kinds of secrets go to interpols website and send them an email with all the gory details.
bigrazz

I'm still depressed. sad Ooh this is my 500th post. That cheered me up a little. But only a little.

As someone else said, secrets are secrets bigrazz

Being a rather conservative, somewhat uptight chick [at least until I get home, lol], I'm scared of quite a few things laugh

I guess I'll start with my weirdest fear. I have a form of ichthyophobia, which is the fear of fish; I am terrified of dead fish. They creep me out and just thinking of them makes me want to scream and run away. Originally, those little things floating in the tanks did not freak me out as much. Two years back, I had to take one out of the tank myself and, well, it just freaked me out beyond belief. And, if anyone here ever goes to the store Walmart, you can watch the fish become cannibals and eat the dead ones in the tank that haven't been taken out yet. It's disgusting!

I also have a slight case of arachnophobia, the fear of spiders, well, I guess insects/bugs/whatever-you-want-to-call-them in general, but I am freaked out way more by dead fish. I have yet another phobia; this time it's acrophobia, or the fear of heights. I can't even handle a 20 foot ferris wheel without freaking out. I went on one at the theme park, Knotts', and I must say that I will never ride on something that high again.

I'm also slightly claustrophobic, which is the fear of confined spaces. I can handle elevators and stuff, but after being shoved into some box or small tank alone for a little while, I start mentally panicking. Another partial phobia I have is needlephobia [yes, that's the actual name], which is, of course, the fear of needles. I was at the dentist the other day and I had to get 5 shots because I was getting four teeth removed and one of the shots didn't work. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life! Well, except for maybe the time I had to take a dead fish out of the tank myself. Both experiences just made me fears worse!

So that "face your fear" crap is total bull bigrazz

So what if they chopped up a fish to make sashimi? Would you be scared of that? Like they chopped up the fish but left the head and the tail still there...like in anime or manga, the big sushi boat?

Holy crap otakubaybay! I have almost all of the same fears, except I'm not too afraid of dead fish, just fish in the ocean. I'm scared of them touching me and whenever I go in the ocean I need to wear a mask so I can see the fish and make sure they don't touch me. This stems from when I was younger and a fish swam right between my thighs, rubbing against me. dead YUCK!! EWWWW! I jumped so high, I was almost all the way out of the water. Quite a feat when the water is waist height.

But I am also afraid of (falling from) heights, which sucks when your husband loves to climb mountains and you're made to hold the rope and belay while standing precariously on a cliff edge. Thankfully I am back on an island where there are no rocky mountains to fall from if you misstep. I also am uncomfortable being confined in a tight space, alone, like when I was locked in a garage and couldn't get out for over an hour. I cried and screamed and no one heard me for what felt like forever.

I don't really mind bugs but I'm not like Shino or something. I do put all the bugs I find in the house outside without hurting them.

OH - wait. I am deathly terrified of roaches and palmetto bugs - or as I call them - flying roaches. I once actually pissed my pants because one flew at me and I turned around to run, hit a wall, got up to run again, fell down and peed. It was pretty funny, actually...after the roach was dead. This is the reason I hate Florida and will never live there again if I can help it.

And I'm not afraid of needles. Actually, I kinda enjoy them and have had lots of piercings and a couple of tattoos. But then, I am kind of a pain whore. Is this a deep dark secret? I wouldn't mind some bondage and S/M...maybe some D/s. Too bad I bruise/bleed so easily 'cause of a clotting disorder. lol

I really want a new tattoo....
Well, I'll have to wait I guess since I'm gonna try and get preggers this month. ^_^ Wish me luck!

Oh, and I took out all of my piercings since I've become a Mom. My daughter was looking at my tongue ring weird and I breastfed so, yeah. roll eyes

Dead fish or insects don't really bother me but I am really afraid of heights and needles. I just had a phlebotomy class too so I had to get stuck quite a bit. I'm not terribly afraid of tight spaces but I'm not comfortable in them either. Being 6'3" does give me an appreciation for having space to stretch out in biggrin . I'm also afraid of horror movies generally. My mom and sister love them so I've had to see far too many for my tastes since I was young. I'm also afraid that I'll end up not succeeding in school and having to work a minimum wage job just to get by. Well it would probably be good for me if I was more afraid of that since I tend to be a slacker.

Good luck getting pregnant hto. I actually just got done studying coagulation disorders like hemophilia and christmas disease. I'm in a medical laboratory technology program right now.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys. I'll let you know how it all works out next month. ^_^

If you were wondering, it's called von Willebrand's disease. I think it's a factor 8 disorder but I'm not so sure. Something to do with the compounding platelet signaling..? We didn't really go into too much detail in cell bio. It is extremely difficult to measure, though, so you might ask your TA how testing for it is done if you're taking a phlebotomy lab. May be an interesting lab experiment.

Isn't it weird how so many of us manga fans are such science geeks? lol

hmmm "secrets are secrets" and...

fears?
i don't think i'm especially afraid of anything...
hmm... things that move too fast and i can't keep my eyes on... cause one second they could be a meter away.. and the next on your shoulder.... (applies to insects, birds, ... squirrels... anything really)

edit: theses things freak me out quite a bit.... house centipedes, *shudders*
ick

ahh the dead fish... there was a time when i had to clean up the dead fish in my fish tank... and there was literally a hole eaten through it by another fish... it was pretty icky.... riiight through the stomach from one side to the other a perfect hole you could see through.... that freaky evil fish that did the eating is still alive...

oh and good luck heardtheowl =]
