i dont mind oneshots, they are often well-thought, with a good background and thought-out plot, but alas, they're too "squeezed": i can't even begin to seriously appreciate one character or the story that all is suddenly finished sad

So in the end, i prefer Series: if the mangaka is good, they will be as filler-less as possible and with a good plot/well defined characters. Still i dont like much neverending series, though ive come to understand that i wish for a series i like to be of at least 10 volumes: 2 series which i really like are finishing in 6 volumes and i've found myself saying "woa, already?"

:3

I'll still read oneshots, but I prefer series. But series have their pros and cons too just like oneshots.

Wow, so many people replied...anyways, yes...oneshots are good, but I sometimes just hate an author that writes a plot that can be expanded upon (like 13) or a terrible plot (hmmm, this is probably what makes me like series more) biggrin
I sometimes don't like to keep track of so many people though... confused

I'd say that series are typically the best, but oneshots are a nice dose of cuteness that would get a little sickening if made into a series. Also.. I kinda clicked the wrong option and voted for oneshot. *sweat drop*

Imagine H oneshots or smut oneshots or any of those particular...
...What do you think will happen in one chapter? O_O
Therefore, series. But i prefer completed series please, just to ensure the damn thing will actually have an ending >_>

I like oneshots, but I prefer series. I enjoy oneshots when it's totally obvious what's gonna happen because then you don't have it dragging out for volumes and volumes *cough-Inuyasha-cough*. Sadly most of the series that I really, really like are pretty long...like 10+ volumes biggrin

I'd rather have a series than a oneshot. Some oneshots leave you wanting more, and most of the time they don't get picked up to become full-fledged manga.

That's exactly how I feel, although I occasionally read oneshots despite this.

Series for sure.

I don't read many oneshots, but like loose said, some leave you wanting more.

However, there are those series that drag on and on...and on...and on...and on... laugh

i like short stories, i read short stories but i prefer novels. in terms of manga i like to read long series with a lot of things to tell.

however some stories just does not work as series even if it's a short one.
