just finished reading ch22 and i have this sneaking suspicion that usui is more then he seems. Like he is someone super powerful, ie. heir to company. Because his apartment in ch21 is amazing. in ch22 he asks misaki, just who do you think i am? And he's really good at everything and knows how to set up the table and cook and act respectably. and usui seems to have some previous relationship to the school president igarashi.

Well ever since towards the beginning of the series I've thought that he is something special....I wonder if he could be the heir to a huge company that might be a rival with the other Student Council President's company? I mean Igarashi seemed to be implying that last chapter 
But yeah, I think he is some sort of super rich guy.

Maybe he's just one of those cliche characters that have super famous parents but they left him in order to pursue their career or something like that. Now he's living on his own because they pay for his expenses...

Well, he kinda reminds me of Shin from Gokusen. I bet they're pretty much the same, only Usui's more risky and daring in terms of love... Heehee

Usui's background!
At least that's what has been revealed (by the 47th Chapter).

Usui is actually an illegitimate son of a wealthy family in England (shock?) which, means he's not full Japanese. In fact, Usui's grandmother, who is Japanese, married his grandfather, who is English, and the two gave birth to a half Japanese, half English daughter. The daughter is Usui's mother. She got married to someone (unknown) and they had a son but then during her trip to Japan, Usui's mother met Usui's father and ta-dah! However, due to the fact that he is an illegitimate child, Usui's grandfather made Usui's existence unknown to the family in England. At a certain point, Usui's grandfather sent Usui to Japan where he will be under the care of Usui's mother's cousin (on the grandmother's side). Usui was home schooled for a while and then he requested to be admitted into high school (Seika). Basically, instead of being an heir to a company, he is an illegitimate child whose existence is a secret. His family is only going to support him till he can enter the labor force.

When I started reading this Usui really reminded me of the lead character in Special A so ever since then I was convinced that he is either a very rich person who ran away from home or a crown prince of some distant country

the truth is he really is from some prestigious family that is half Japanese and half European. Although he is a bastard son that's been kept a secret cause his mother's family is really popular and they are afraid that if people found out about him they're family name might be tarnished >:-(

I keep thinking about the things that Igarashi says and it seems like he has a connection with Usui/his family, because he warns Misaki about Usui being rich at the banquet for the butler thing(i forget which chapter, but it's probably somewhat recent)
