oh and it teaches us an important lesson that if the succubus army ever attacks our best defense will be lint rollers. At one point the succubus heroin gets snagged in one and ties herself up

You thinking of Mark of the Succubus? I've never read anything with Succubus in them so I'm just going off of descriptions.

As for the closet otaku bit, a girl introduces her to some yaoi mangas, it was there somewhere near the early episodes. She also gets snagged in a lint roller, although it was weird, it gave out a long stretchy sticky thing
