Tried to throw a grenade and it ricocheted off a wall right back at me. Ouch.

Hahahaha...this happened to me countless times playing the zombie co-op mission on Call of Duty 5...I killed not only myself but my teammates too.

I've done a lot of mistakes...but the biggest?
one that I can remember is: that I put my hand in a working blender

halo, falling off a bridge and failing this one mission 5 times in a row
battlefront 2, trying destroy what i was supposed protect for a mission 8 times in a row
vice city, finally beating a mission after forever and then driving into the ocean
GTA san andreas, forgot i lost all weapons after getting wasted and rushed into a gunfight for mission

i haven't done wii remote through a tv, it's gone into a wall though

Started the a game of Zelda, and named the main character Zelda

Maple Story: In the beginning, I didn't realize that the importance of stats were job-specific. Yeah... A warrior with 17 LUK and 17 INT... What a waste. -.- My character still suffers from it.

The one about the grenade was funny. XD I've definitely done the same.

.hack//infection: I just finished the main boss and then my hand slipped and I pressed the button that skipped the whole ending. Now I'll never know what they said at the end

FFX: I thought for the sphere grid you just chose what you wanted, well my brother later corrected me on that so it took awhile for my characters to become normal again.

World of Warcraft: This wasn't really my fault, but still I felt stupid. My brother and I were on the airship thing that goes from the Horde country to the Alliance one and my computer lagged so I was on the airship for 3 rides (to All., back to Horde, and to All. again....)

James Bond: It was actually my friend that was stupid in this one. So we had 4 people playing against each other and my friend basically sat in a corner and shot everyone with a bazooka whenever they walked into the room so I decided to slowly come around the corner and snipe her character. Well I shot her once and then she started freaking out because she couldn't see me and eventually she shot the wall with her bazooka and blew herself up. Of course I was in the doorway laughing hysterically

mine was when i was playing final fantasy 6 for playstaion1 and i managed to get shadow but stupid me there is part int he game where you have to split up into tp diffrent teams so sutuped me put the two weakest togeather and sent them off with shadow but wondered to far in wrong direction so shadow left the team and i was left to face a boss with my two worst charates not fun

I just found my old copy of Pokemon Red, the first one I ever played and it reminded me of another dumb mistake... After the Fushia (6th) gym you needed to get into the psychic place (was it Saffron?). There were 4 entrances but the guards would never let me in. I couldn't figure out how to get by them. I stopped playing the game for a few weeks when my cousin showed me how to get by the guards... Anyone remember? --- you had to go and buy a beverage (Water, Soda, or Lemonade) and bring it to one of the guards. After that they would all let you pass.... How was I supposed to know I didn't even know that those items existed in the game...

call of duty: Modern Warfare i was online Search and Destroy the guy was at last stand perk and i tried to kill him failed...i should have just gone to plant the bomb instead..or go farther away...it was a big deal cos it was a clan vs clan thing oo and World at War zombie mode is tight...i can only go to 9 rounds with a buddy and then we die though

Seems sensible. You need to get by someone, and they're complaining of thirst. You solve his problem, he solves yours. Quid pro quo. Though maybe I've become so used to fetch quests that they just seem obvious to me.
