Asian friends: manga (American pronunciation).
Other friends: manga (Japanese pronunciation).
On one specific IRC channel, I call `em mangos like everyone else.

I dunno if it's the "correct" way to pronounce it, but since I speak Spanish and Spanish pronounciation is closer to that the English pronounciation, I go w/ Spanish.....so it's the "ah" sound instead of "eh"

I have a bad habit of switching between the two mid-conversation, I have been told by people without much knowledge of manga, that it can be very confusing, because it sounds like I am talking about 2 different things. I know that "Maynga" is inproper and its more like "Mahnga" but old habits die hard you know.

From the very beginning I pronounced it "muhnga".. And then my friends kept ponouncing it "maynga" and kept looking at me funny when i said it the right way.. I went back to calling it "muhnga" since I found out I was right after all! lol
Instead of all of us trying to type out what it sounds like cant we just find some youtube/video clip somewhere saying it the different ways? lol

None of the above, as pronouncing the word requires it to be used in a verbal conversation.

For me it's actually reverse. Monga is very close to mango in my native language, so I say manga.

I pronounce it monga. I used to say manga but changed as soon as someone corrected me since there wasn't a reason for me not to.
My Dad calls it "Pokemans stuff."

yeah, where did "monga" come from ma'n-ga
easier for me cuz it's ma'n-hwa in korean, and pronounced similarly with the "ah" sound, since they are the same.

I say "mawn-ga" I used to say it like "MAN-ga" but stopped like 5 years ago. So saying it the americanized way just sounds odd to me now lol. Like poeple who say "pe-CANS" instead of "pe-cawns"

woaaahhh, i fail as an manga-otaku
all these years i've been saying it like 'mango' with an 'a' at the end, never realising that it was actually more like 'monga'. I don't think i deserve to keep on reading the sweet joy that is manga which for some blasted reason is pronounced as 'monga'.
P.S. I don't actually give a ..... you say tomato I say tomahto

I pronounce it the same way ^_^ Not like "man-ga" but the more "ah" sound. Like I'm British or something xD
EDIT: Aaahh I quoted the wrong person! But I get what you're saying, although I don't switch

I pronounce it 'Mango' but with an 'a' instead of an 'o'
I don't like calling it 'Monga'
