H is restricted in many places due to obvious reasons, but BL isn't. There's not really any reason why people should be complaining about H fans - H is not forced upon us, but BL/Yaoi is :\

I'm pretty sure how sexually explicit something is determines whether it should be banned or not. Not a lot of people know about bl manga. But a hell a lot of people know about hentai.

wow, I mean just WOW. how typical of you guys to offend and insult others just because of their desire for a certain genre of manga/anime. no, I am not that surprised at all, it is not the first time that I have seen such a behavior, actually I can say the same thing about a 30 years old straight guy who is obsessed with lesbian porn and Yuri manga, but I won't since I believe people are free to watch and read whatever they like, simple as this.

I agree on this point. Although, I am not a yaoi or yuri fan and rarely ever read mangas that have any homosexual pairings (no matter how vague), I have not right to say someone can't read it. I would prefer that a 30 year old woman read yaoi than some 14 or 15 year old girl. It is something that anyone over 18 should read. The same goes for hentai. Who says manga has an upper age limit.
Back to the original question, I have often wished for other pairings in mangas that didn't happen. Same goes for any yaoi fan, we all can be left unhappy about how things did or did not turn out. That said, there is a schocking amount of dj yaoi streaming out. The KH thing is weird though.

Well, "to each his own" cmon dont make a fuss because they pair every 2 hot(?) males chars in every manga. I admit its a bit uhm idiosyncratic maybe, but nonetheless, harmless. In the sense: "who cares?"

Besides, on ff.net, it was a lot of KIDS (tweens) writing that crap. That's a lot of who's doing the fanart. As far as I can tell, a lot of actual YAOI lovers tend to ship within their own fanbases, and aren't really trying to bother any one else about it.

But... you know, not every YAOI fangirl is alike. Some like it for the romance; some like it for the humor; some like a bare minimum of plot and are there for the smut; some are there for two pretty boys kissing.

Leave the YAOI fans alone. Seriously. They are devoted to their genre, and they absolutely LOATHE being picked on because of their choice of pr0n/romance. They don't go online and say, "OMG, What's with all these doujinshis with XXX (f) character and YYY (m) character?! They'd NEVER do that!"

People have preferences. Just... leave them alone.

I gotta say, it doesn't bother me, but i don't really care for seeing Zell and Squall together when i look for Doujins for FFVIII...

In response to the topic, it's really silly. More than often the characters themselves are completely out of character. Basically they transform the canon character into something else. I don't know, but I find it kind of disrespectful towards the character (I know, it doesn't have any feelings ) and the mangaka.

If you're going to read Yaoi, at least read original ones. Instead of crappy Doujins that 80% of the time don't have any plot at all, and are just their for the satisfaction of MisterX&MisterY fans.

Also no one has a problem with Yaoi, that much is for sure. It's just the vigor that some Yaoi fangirls have for Yaoi that scares alot of people. Basically the people who proclaim their love for Yaoi to the entire world, whether we want to hear it or not. It's... annoying. Like any other overbearing fan, be it Mecha, Naruto or Star Wars. Only because it's Yaoi, it tends to add a whole new 'grossness' factor to alot of guys.
